CHAPTER 9: Tubing

•LEVY'S P.O.V.•
After we finished that delicious cake, we all went back to the lake.
"Hey guys, let's take that boat for a spin!" I said pointing at the big speed boat attached to the dock.
"Yeah that sounds like fun!!" Lucy said clapping her hands.
"Sure, let me go get my troia potion." Gajeel said with a straight face.
"Me too." Natsu followed. When they came back we all got into the boat and Jellal started the engine. I untied it from the dock and we started moving.
"There's a tube in here!!" Lucy exclaimed, "Let's go tubing!!" She grabbed it and brought it to the back of the boat.
"I'll help you." Natsu said grabbing it from her hands and hooking the rope to the boat.
"This is a great idea!!" Mira squealed jumping up and down.
"Me and Jellal shall drive the boat as you all go tubing." Erza said. Oh god Erza is driving!? I sure hope Jellal is driving for me. Then I felt a muskular arm around my shoulders. I looked to see Gajeel looking at the water.
"So short stuff, you like tubing?" He asked with out looking at me. I rolled my eyes.
"Yes. And you?" I asked, trying to get him to talk more. He was so quiet, I felt bad.
"Yeah sure." he mumbled.
"You've never been tubing have you!?" I laughed. I punched his arm playfully.
"Yeah, I guess. DONT TELL NATSU!" He half yelled half whispered. I giggled and nodded my head.
"You can go a round with me! I'm a pro." I said sitting tall in my pride.
"You!? Heh okay." he said smirking. This is gonna be interesting.
"Who's going first?" Erza asked. I nudged Gajeel and he shook his head no.
"I wanna see what it's like first." He said fiddling with his fingers nervously. I giggled and nodded. I looked at Lucy.
"You wanna go with me?" I asked her.
"Sure pal!" She replied eagerly. We hopped onto the tube and grabbed the straps. There was only three so I had to put my hand over hers.
"You done this before?" I asked her. She nodded. I did a thumbs up signaling go faster. Thankfully Jellal was driving.
"Try this!" I yelled over the engine and the waves. I stood up on the tube. Lucy gasped and her mouth flew open.
"I never knew you were so brave!" she yelled laughing.
"Hey! I may be small but I have courage! Now stand with me!" I encouraged her by holding my hand down. She grabbed it and slowly stood until she was next to me.
"Hey, look who's staring." I said and motioned my head towards a drooling Natsu. Lucy blushed.
"You too!" She said looking at Gajeel who was watching closely.
"Naw he's just learning. Don't tell him I told you but he's never done this before and I told him to watch." I laughed, blushing a little. Part of me liked that he was watching.
"Aaah so you're standing to impress him I see." she nudged my with her elbow smiling.
"What!? No! I-"
"No need to explain, I was kidding!" She laughed. I looked at Natsu who's mouth was gaping open at Lucy. Then I got a wonderful idea.
"Hey Lucy," I elbowed her, "Natsu is looking at your boobs."
"WHAAA!!?" She screamed and covered her chest causing her to loose her balance. She grabbed me and we both flew into the water. I lost my breath quickly from laughing under water. I pushed up to the surface and took a deep breath. Lucy poked me.
"Was he really..?" She asked putting half her face under water in embarrassment.
"No! I just said that to embarrass you." she laughed, "and it worked!" She playfully punched me. The boat came back around to pick us up. I hopped onto it and held me hand down for Lucy. She smiled and grabbed it. Man she really is heavy! I thought as I almost fell back in. I felt big hands on my waist. I pulled Lucy in as the hands pulled me up also. I turned around to see Gajeel smiling. So he finally really smiles.
