The package

Draco was looking worse than ever, October had really done a number on him. As soon as the month of fall came about, he looked worse than ever. Malfoy flinched at every touch, keeping his head down, never touching his food, and snapping at everyone who dared to talk to him.

Skylar saw him rush out of Potions hastily, she shoved her Advanced Potions Making book into her bag and left with everyone else.

"Draco is going to drop dead one of these days, I mean have you seen him?" Caylin questioned Skylar while shifter her bag around on her shoulder. "Hm." Skylar hummed back in return, the sight of blood from his sleeve was still haunting her every moment.

"Oy!"

Caylin and Skylar turned around to see Blaise and Naomi hand in hand walking their way. "You guys going to Hogsmeade this weekend?" Blaise asked them.

"Yeah, I'm going with Skylar, you know- as friends and such." Caylin told them.

"Oh, I thought you would be going with Malfoy." Naomi said with a confused expression. "No, he's too busy doing Merlin knows what to even talk to me now."

"Okay, well...at least you have us!" Naomi gave a kind grin and began walking with Blaise to their next class.

Meanwhile, Draco walked once more to The Room of Requirement. He shut his eyes, thinking hard of where he wanted to be, and then, the great oak doors appeared out of nowhere.

He opened his eyes and opened the giant doors, letting himself in, and closing it when he was inside.

The room was filled with random items, things that had mysteriously made its way to the come-and-go room over the hundreds of years it had been around.

The Slytherin walked deep inside the room to meet a tall dark cabinet draped with cloths. He pulled back his right sleeve and checked the time: '2:16 P.M.' He had four minutes until it arrived.

Draco stood waiting in front of the cabinet, counting down the seconds until the package came through. At exactly 2:20 P.M the boy opened the tall cabinet and inside was a box with a note attached.

'Don't touch the necklace. Follow the plan and we will be rewarded.

The boy kept trying to tell himself that it would work. The Slytherin stuffed the package inside his school bag and walked out the room.

"I have no bloody clue whatsoever about any of this! How the hell is Potter doing so well in Potions?!" Malfoy heard Skylar complain as he entered the commonroom. Skylar threw her head back onto the couch and groaned in defeat.

"Well, it's simple enough really. It's like a code, if you can do one potion you can do all, all you need to do is just know the ingredients and follow the instructions- think of it like baking!" Caylin told her, slapping Skylar on the back.

"Oh wow, I have never thought about it like that." The girl rolled her eyes.

"I'm only trying to help, no need to be so sarcastic." Replied Caylin.

Draco rolled his eyes at their tiny arguments and walked straight into his room without a word.

The next day was rather dreadful for Skylar. She had to pull through that day. She stayed up that night with Caylin to finish Professor Slughorn's essay in the nick of time; two scrolls explaining in detail how to make an antidote to garnish pink blended poison.

Walking into Advanced Potions class with Caylin and Pansy next to her, they took their places with the rest of the class standing at their desks. Professor Slughorn walked in with his robe flying behind him and his wand in hand.

"Good afternoon! Ah, let's see. Everyone is here! Oh, Mr.Malfoy is missing. That's the second day in a row now." Professor Slughorn started, he wrote the attendance down on some parchment before looking back at the class.

"Now, back to business! I gave you all two weeks to write the essay explaining how to craft an antidote to garnish pink bended poison, Miss. Granger already turned her's in last week."

"Course she did." Mumbled Skylar to Caylin.

"Please hand in your work to me! Remember, if you didn't complete it, you will get a zero." The Professor said while taking in all the rolls of parchment.

"Would you like me to take yours?" Asked Caylin to Skylar, putting her hand out. "Yes, please." The girl gave her essay to her friend, and watched as Caylin gave both essays to their professor.

The entrance of the classroom door creaked open and revealed a tall pale boy standing there with his bag slug over his shoulder.

"Ah! Mr. Malfoy! So glad you came! Just in time too. We're handing in essays." The Professor finished collecting the rolls of parchment and waited for Draco to get his paper. But, he didn't have it. Draco's face was pale and filled with beads of perspiration.

"I must say Mr. Malfoy, I am quite disappointed." Slughorn put his arm on Draco's shoulder with the corners of his mouth turned down.

The only seat available was at the table at which Skylar, Caylin, and Pansy stood.

The boy made his way slowly towards them, Skylar looked at him as he dropped his bag on the floor and slouched over the table. Dropping his head.

"Hey." The girl said, trying to get his attention. "Hey, Malfoy." Skylar called once again, keeping her voice low. His eyes lingered low, but made their way to hers. "What?" Draco snapped.

"You going to Hogsmeade?"

"...yes..."

"Would you like to go with Caylin and I?"

"No." Draco turned his head from her and looked at the potions master who was talking about their essays, and how well done Hermione Granger's was.

"He just said no?" Asked Pansy when they got out of their last class that day.

"Yeah. He didn't even hesitate." Skylar sighed.

The three girls made their way to the common room where they saw Blaise and Draco chatting away. Draco kept playing with his fingers. Skylar recognised his movements and realised that he was nervous. What for? Skylar didn't know.

"So," said Skylar as she and the two other girls plopped down on the black sofas in the commonroom, "Hogsmeade is tomorrow. What are your outfits? It's going to be chilly."
