Accident
"Well that was weird." Said Caylin as she and Skylar walked down the halls to their next class, Potions.
"Yeah. I'll give you 5 galleons if you can tell me what she saw next lesson."
"Deal." She said, extending her arm to give Skylar a firm handshake and a nod. Then, someone brushed past Skylar, hitting her bag off her shoulder.
"Bloody hell." Skylar exclaimed as she bent down to pick up her satchel. She looked up to see Malfoy strutting down the halls, not even looking back to apologise.
"I swear that git's mood changes every second." Muttered Caylin as the two continued to walk to potions class with the Gryffindors.
Once they reached the classroom, the girls went to their assigned seats, which meant that Skylar was next to Malfoy once again. Sighing, she plopped down onto her chair but sat up straight once the Professor entered the class.
"Good Morning all! Now as you can see here today, we will be making one of the potions that I had desplayed the other day. Any guesses?"
"Liquid Luck?" Questioned Potter's friend, earning a slap on the head from the Granger girl.
"No no, Mr Wallenby. Anyone else?" Replied the Professor.
"Amortentia?" Questioned the Granger girl, smirking as though she was trying to hold in a laugh.
"Yes indeed Miss Granger!" Said Professor Slughorn with a smile.
"Recipes for which can be found on page 15 of your textbook. Once again, for those without the book, you make take one of the spare books in the cupboard at the back of the classroom. I will be walking around the class as you brew your potion. Work in your assigned pairs! Very well you may begin!" Exclaimed Professor Slughorn.
So, everyone began working at their tables. Crabbe and Goyle had Professor Slughorn always peering over their wide shoulders to ensure that their cauldrons wouldnt explode. Malfoy was silent the whole time. He sat at his chair daydreaming. Blaise was occasionally making fun of Crabbe and Goyle but mostly focused on his potion with Daphne. Caylin was working with the Pansy. Skylar found it rather interesting to watch the countless times that they looked at each other and then looked away. On the other hand, Skyalr was left to work alone. The only good thing was that, well, her cauldron hadn't exploded yet.
"Merlin Star. Do you ever do anything right?" Malfoy sneered, standing up and taking over. Skylar sighed in defeat and plopped down onto her chair, letting the blonde boy work alone. Soon enough, the smell of firewhiskey became stronger. Skylar went closer to the cauldron to smell it once again.
Firewhiskey. Rain. Apples.
Skylar slouched back into her seat and waited until the lesson was over. Once it was, she slung her satchel across her body and rushed to the divination room with Caylin, hoping that there wasn't any ongoing classes.
To their surprise, the classroom was empty. Well, at least they thought it was.
"Hello my children. Fancy seeing you here once again." Said Professor Trelawney, holding a crystal ball in her hands. Skylar gave Caylin a nudge, signalling for her to say something.
"Well Sky- we were wondering if you could tell us what you saw earlier on." Said Caylin who was scratching her head nervously.
"I'm sorry dears but I simply-"
The Professor looked as though she was having a seizure.
"Professor?" I said, slowly approaching her.
