The valley of the neutral zone was spotted in softly glowing flowers in various shades of blue. As the wind touched each of the blooms, Nadia and Esmeray carefully walked among the milky blue light. Above them the moon shone its bright white face and the stars winked as if they held an untold secret.

"The light blue ones are the ones we want," Nadia softly instructed, plucking one of the sweet-smelling flowers off the plant gently so as not to damage the plant.

Esmeray snapped off a few of the blooms and eased them into the herb sack she held. She sent Nadia a glance as she reached for another one. "What are these called? You haven't told me."

Nadia laughed softly and gently dropped a few flowers into her sack. "They're called Moonsglow."

"They're so beautiful," Esmeray wondered aloud, holding up one she'd just plucked. It looked just like a wild rose, only the petals were mostly transparent and luminously blue. She slipped it into her sack with a slight smile. "And aptly named."

Nadia placed a handful into the sack and nodded with a slight chuckle. She straightened and slipped a Moonsglow flower behind Esmeray's ear. "They really are. I believe we have enough now."

Esmeray smiled at the gesture, following Nadia out of the Moonsglow patch. She took a deep breath of the vanilla-like scent of the blooms and sighed. "Time to go home."

Nadia grabbed the sack Esmeray held and tied it to her belt along with the other sack. She elbowed the younger female and laughed. "For you it is."

"And for us soon enough," Gabriel spoke up as the duo reached him and Tobias near a small rocky outcrop. He gave Nadia a look that made Esmeray blush.

Nadia bit the air and winked at Gabriel. "Better watch out when we go."

"I could say the same of you, my dear," Gabriel teased with a small smirk.

Tobias snorted with a short laugh at the embarrassed look of shock on Esmeray's face. "Don't worry, they're mates."

Esmeray coughed, Tobias's explanation catching her right when she swallowed. She breathed deeply and coughed again. She'd never seen any connection between Nadia and Gabriel, and never would she have guessed they were a pair. "Wait, w-what?"

Gabriel held his stomach and laughed before wrapping an arm around Nadia's waist. "Aye, m'lady, he's right. She's my mate."

"We're not very physical a lot," Nadia added, kissing Gabriel's cheek with a smile.

Tobias smirked and shot Gabriel a look. "Except to make babies."

"Tobias- I mean, alpha!" Nadia covered her eyes with a hand while Esmeray looked between all of them with a mixture of emotions on her face.

The smirk remained on Tobias's handsome face and he raised an eyebrow at his pack's doctor. "Yes ma'am?"

Nadia buried her face in Gabriel's chest when he pulled her close. "Nothing, go to sleep," she muttered, her voice muffled by Gabriel's chest.

"Don't mind if I do just, don't be too rough on her will ya Gabriel? I wanna be able to sleep," Tobias commented as he rested on the ground with his arms crossed behind his head and closed his eyes. "Better yet, Esmeray, come here."

Esmeray made her way to Tobias and looked down at him. Her body tensed from being so close to him. "Yes?"

Tobias patted his chest without opening his eyes. "You're gonna sleep right here. Can't have anything happening to you or Connor would murder me."

"Uhh, okay." Esmeray bit her lip and settled on the ground beside Tobias, her senses slowly being consumed with Tobias's scent and the warmth of his body. She laid her head against his chest, feeling his arm slide around and pull her close.
