Tobias took in a deep, anger instantly rising in his chest with a burning heat. "What the fuck does he want?"

"Well he just said to talk," Connor reminded with a furrowed brow and the guard nodded.

"Connor, go tell Esmeray what's going on and the her to stay put. I don't want her involved in whatever the hell Killian's up to. Then wait in my study for us," Tobias ordered before stepping up to the guard who opened the door. He strode out with an air of confidence and authority, his broad shoulders squared and his defined jaw set. His feet took him to the edge of the village where Killian and two other Bloodborne stood surrounded by Nyght guards and warriors.

"So this is how the Nyght treat visitors? Interesting," Killian spoke with a slight smirk as he slipped what looked like a circlet under his black coat. His eyes were not the bright red they were before, but a dark brown and his hair was salt-and-pepper gray.

Tobias's eyes gleamed red and it took everything within him not to growl at the sneering Bloodborne. He took a breath, forcing himself to be diplomatic to an extent. If Killian had what he thought he did, provoking the evil Bloodborne would not be a smart idea. "No, Killian. This, this is how we treat enemies."

"You can't be serious," Killian scoffed amusedly. That half smirk still curved his pale thin lips and he cocked his head. "The blood feud is with the extinct Blackfang, not you."

"Any enemy of the Blackfang is an enemy of ours." Tobias crossed his arms and gave five of the guards a meaningful look before meeting Killian's gaze. "Follow me to my study. Whatever you have to say can be said there. Otherwise, you can fuck right on off to your cutthroats."

Killian chuckled, his eyes gleaming black. He swept his arm with a flourish. "Go ahead, lead the way."

Tobias turned his back and began to walk, the hair on his neck rising. His body was tensed and alert, every sense on overdrive as he stepped up onto the porch and to the door of his cabin. He opened it and stepped inside, moving to the side so Killian and his henchmen could enter.

"Kind of shabby for an alpha," Killian commented with a slight sneer as his eyes took in the simple furnishings of the cabin. He followed Tobias to the study with both his guards and the Nyght guards clustering around him as Connor watched from the corner. "Unless you just like the easy things. Like that bitch of yours."

Tobias stopped in his tracks in the middle of the study with the lantern in his hand. He spin around while sitting the now lit lantern on his desk, a deep growl leaving him. "Shut your mouth, Killian, or I won't hesitate to have you killed right this instant. Leave my Luna out of this."

"Tobias, Tobias." Killian shook his head and took a seat without being offered to. He crossed his long legs and propped his elbows on the chair arm, touching his fingertips together at chin level. "You wouldn't even dare try to touch me because you know exactly what would happen if you did."

"You'd die is what would happen." Tobias arched his eyebrows slightly, a slight smirk touching his lips as he slowly walked behind his desk. He placed his hands on the coldly smooth top and leaned forward. "Without wielding a stone, you're nothing more than an old wolf trying to overtake a young alpha."

Killian's eyes smoldered with anger and he ground his teeth together. His attention fleetingly touched Connor before focusing back on Tobias.

"You see," Tobias said, tilting his head with that rugged smirk. "I'm not as dumb as you think I am. By the time you pull the Naomh from your jacket and take out the stone you want, I'd have already ripped your throat out."

"But I have guards," Killian protested with a hardened tone as he shifted in the chair.

Tobias snorted and motioned toward his five guards with one of his hands. "As do I. Should I remind you that you're outnumbered?"

The smug attitude that Killian had been carrying vanished completely and he gave Tobias a venomous look. He growled and showed his fangs. "Then if you'll give me what I want, I'll be on my way."

Tobias let his gaze sweep over Killian and the other two Bloodborne. He knew for the moment he hand the upper hand, and he could only hope it would stay that way. One of his thick brows arched smoothly. "And what's that?"

Killian sat up straight in the chair, hunching for a bit as his eyes turned the full black of what Tobias hoped was his wolf. "The Clach-fala."

Tobias laughed and ran his fingers through his hair with an air of amusement. He smirked, showing his thick canines as he breathed in Killian's blood-like scent. "You're a complete idiot if you think I'd do that. I wasn't born yesterday. I know what you'd do with it you power hungry bastard and I'm not about to let you ruin the world as we know it."

"So I'm assuming that's a no?" Killian bit out, his voice a pitch higher than normal due to tension.

Tobias laughed again and crossed his arms, his eyes completely red and gleaming in the shadowy light. "Of course it's a no, you dumbfuck. In case I wasn't clear enough, I'll say it again. No, I won't give you the Clach-fala. Not now, not ever."

"Oh, you'll give it to me soon enough," Killian corrected with a gravely growl as he stood up in his chair with a half aggressive half defensive stance. He pointed at Tobias with a grim sneer curling his lips at a grotesque angle. "I'll make you rue this day, Tobias. That pretty little bitch you have? I will have her and I will be sure you'll see everything I do to her. And when I do, it's all because of you."

Tobias snarled and leaned completely over the desk, gripping Killian's jacket with one hand and landing a solid punch to Killian's mouth with the other. He pulled Killian halfway across the face of the desk roughly. His fangs showed and his face was mere inches from Killian's as his guards held the Bloodborne back. "The day you take her, is the day I will rip your eyes out and shove them down your throat so you can see my claws ripping your insides apart. Now get out of my fucking sight Killian, and don't ever come back."

Killian laughed dryly and licked the trickling blood from his lip. He straightened his jacket as Tobias set him down and smirked, turning around and pushing his way through the guards and out of the study.

Tobias watched as three of the guards and Connor took off after Killian. He strayed his gaze to the other two guards that had the Bloodborne at bay and gave them a nod, watching as they slit the throats of the Bloodborne with a clawed had. He didn't stay to watch them die, instead he walked through them and over the blood quickly pooling on the floor. His eyes lost some of their red glow as he took a left and walked down the hall to where he knew Esmeray was waiting for him. He growled under his breath. No one was going to touch his Luna if he had anything to say about it.

A/N: the end of Blood War is coming soon and I can't believe it. Chapter 20 will probably be the last chapter and omg this is just wow. Thanks for reading this far. - The Queen
