Tobias burst through the door with more force than he wanted to and he cursed under his breath as the handle cracked the wall it slammed into. His momentary feeling of remorse slowly turned back to worry. Esmeray hadn't come to greet him, and that alone had him on edge along with the fact he was now at Lillian's. That could only mean some kind of medical crisis.

"Welcome, alpha," Lillian spoke up quietly from where she kneeled on the floor beside a bleeding rogue Tobias instantly recognized.

"What the fuck is Sloan doing here?" Tobias asked with a tone that was not to be played with. He crossed his arms, his intense gaze drilling into Connor. "And where the hell is my Luna?"

"Let me explain," Connor spoke up before he told Tobias everything that happened in his absence. "I reckon Killian used the Clach-taibhse to get her and vanish like that, but I don't know his plans. Which is why she-" he jerks his chin to Sloan who was clinging to her life- "is still alive or I'd have killed her already."

Tobias felt his heart seize and he struggled to breath. Esmeray, his Luna, his pregnant Luna, was in the clutches of Killian. His mind flooded with thoughts he didn't want to dwell on for very long and instead of give into the fear and hurt, he turned those feelings to rage. He growled and reached down, pulling Sloan to her feet. "Look at me."

Sloan groaned weakly with pain as her lashes fluttered and she struggled to focus. She felt incredibly sleepy, and she looked at him with partially glazed eyes.

"Where's my Luna?" Tobias demanded, giving Sloan a slight shake. His eyes glowed red and he growled deep in his chest. "Answer me, damn it!"

Sloan's ginger lashes fluttered again and she almost gave into the overwhelming feeling of sleep. She gave a weak smirk. "W-with Killian. . . ."

"No duh you fucking retard I already know that," Tobias snapped, gripping her so tight she whimpered. He could tell she was fading fast and she wouldn't last for much longer. He hated that fact more than he cared to reveal. "What's he doing with her? Why the fuck does he have her?"

"She's gonna. . .b-be his q-queen," Sloan murmured, blinking as she tried to keep her focus on Tobias but was failing miserably. She took in one wheezing breath and her head rolled to the side, her eyes closing for the very last time.

Tobias growled in frustration and let go of Sloan, hearing the thump of her body against the floor. He rubbed his face roughly before running his fingers through his hair. He paced back and forth, his mind reeling and trying to figure out what he should do. Esmeray was due any day now and the fact that both her and their unborn was in Killian's grasp unnerved and infuriated him but also brought about a distinct and urgent fear.

Connor gripped Tobias's shoulder, stopping his best friend in his tracks. He looked into his face. He didn't even want to imagine what was going through Tobias's head. He met his alpha's eyes. "It's gonna be okay-"

The howl of warning rose up from the camp and this time, Tobias didn't wait for a guard to come and get him. This time, he went to meet whatever it was head on.

"Sir, it's Killian," a warrior spoke up as Tobias passed.

Tobias growled, a muscle in his jaw rippling as he made his way across his village to the place he knew Killian would be. Anger boiled in his chest with an intense heat unlike any he'd ever felt before. He took in the sly smirk on Killian's ghostly pale face and it took everything he had not to attack on sight. "What the fuck do you want now, you kidnapping asshole?"

"Oh, all I want is a trade," Killian answered with that cocky smirk as he stood before a line of Nyght warriors and guards.

Tobias's chest heaved with his anger. He stood with clenched fists before Killian after he shouldered his way through the defense. He knew Killian was using the Clach-taibhse, it was apparent by the ghoulish white of Killian's skin and hair, but he didn't care. He wasn't afraid. "The only reason I'm even considering your sorry ass is the fact you have my Luna and my unborn. What do you fucking want?"

"I wouldn't be talking to me that way." Killian tilted his head, his white hair falling to the side. That smirk Tobias hated so much curled his lips and he took a step forward. "I could be rid you of the very thing you want and love the most."

Tobias flinched as Esmeray's fearful voice flooded his ears. He glanced around as his heart pounded in his chest, her pleas for help ringing in his mind. The moment he turned his attention back to Killian, he saw Esmeray out in the distance reaching out to him. Oh how he longed to run to her, but he knew what this was. He was no fool. "Nice try but no amount of hallucinations will help you out."

"And no amount of stubbornness will help you," Killian retorted, his eyes flashing with anger at his foiled attempt to weaken Tobias. "You have until midnight tommorow to bring me the Clach-fala. If you don't, I will do unspeakable things to your Luna."

"Fuck off already," Tobias growled in response, clenching and unclenching his fists as Killian turned to leave.

"Remember I make good on what I say," Killian said with a smirk. He sent Tobias a sly look over his shoulder before taking two steps forward and vanishing into thin air.

Tobias took in a deep breath and closed his eyes, his hand slipping down into his pants. He felt the crinkling of the paper he'd kept with him and opened his eyes. He knew exactly what he had to do.

Connor stepped up beside Tobias with a solemn expression. He crossed his arms. "What now?"

Tobias lifted his chin and stared straight into Connor's eyes. "We give Killian the Clach-fala."
