"Take it to four-eyes." Captain Levi passed me a envelope."Yes sir!" I saluted and took the envelope a stuffed it in my chest pocket. Just before I left I heard the captain say one more thing.
"Also, y/n, don't forget to not let her start rambling. You'll be there for days." He sighed and I giggled a little.
"I'll remember captain." I said as I opened the door to leave.
Admittedly Hange doesn't seem to have a brilliant reputation. They say she's to loud or a crazy lady but exceptional when it comes to combat.
Walking down the corridor I noticed multiple cadets cleaning and looking sad as they stared at the dust that formed a coat over surfaces. I inwardly laughed as I knew that this was Captain Levi's doing, he always seemed to use cleaning as a punishment. There were others walking around the building, some looked like they had only just come back from training and others looked like they were about to go out and start theirs.
I reached her office door. They put her on the outskirts of the building in fear that she would blow the place up with an experiment of some kind. I knocked a few times and she answered the door opening it up and motioning for me to enter.
"The captain asked me to deliver this." I said holding out the envelope.
"Ahh haa! I've been waiting for this!" Hange excitedly ripped open the envelope and began reading, this gave me a chance to actually get a good look at her.
She was wearing the scout uniform without the jacket and a yellow toned shirt. The shirt had various small stains but the faded red ones stood out, it didn't look like blood. Her hair was pushed back into a messy ponytail and a pair of glasses sat on her nose. The room was messy with books and paper stacked into small piles across the floor and desk. A bookcase with an assortment of colored book spines sat in the far corner of the room. On the desk sat a half finished bottle of what looked to be whine and a notebook. Three empty bottles, the same as the half finished one, sat on the window ledge.
I looked up at Hange as she frowned and put the letter back into the envelope. If shes drinking this much she must be struggling with something but its not my place to pry into her life.
"Thanks for bringing this over y/n. Are you heading back to the captain now?" Hange asked me an unreadable expression on her face. Something was definitely wrong she never calls captain Levi 'captain'.
"Yes, I am. Is everything okay?" I know I shouldn't ask but something makes me want to make her happy again.
"Yeah, yeah. Its all good." Hange was trying to make it look like no big deal but I could tell something was really eating away at her.
"Mind if I tag along?" She gave me a smile.
"Not at all." I saluted and began to make my way towards the door to leave.
"Don't bother with the whole saluting thing while we are alone alright? It just makes things a little awkward." She let out a light laugh and I joined in while replying,
"Okay!" Perhaps she isn't as bad as they say she is.
