Shiranda's POV

I'm in my U.S. Government class, and we've all presented our power points.  I'm just glad presenting is over.  For some reason, I hate doing that shit.

I usually don't like working with other people on assignments, but this time, something good came out of it.

Ms. Rosa, who is hot as fuck, by the way, gave the class the rest of the period to just chill, so Kiera and I are just chatting it up.

We've set up another date, but this time, she's in charge of it.

.....

There's a knock at the door.  I quickly open it, expecting that maybe Kiera came early, but it's Ms. Stevens instead.  I'm not disappointed, it's just not who I thought it would be.

"You practically live at my house."  I joke.  "Well, there's no one to tutor at my own."

I look down, seeing that she has her tutoring materials in hand.  I let her in and close the door.

"Oh shit, I completely forgot about that."  "In such a hurry to get rid of me already?"  She jokes with a smile.

"Oh, Ms. Stevens, I couldn't if I tried."  I smirk at her.  "Alright, off to your room we go."

"Alright, let's not take too long.  Kiera will be here eventually."  "Kiera?"  "Yeah.  We're going on another date."

"Oh.  Ok then."  We head off to my room, commencing to do our very fun Econ activities.

.....

"I'm gonna get a drink."  She says.  "Ok."  She leaves then comes back, two bottles of water in her hand.

She sits down.  "Got you one, too."  "Thanks."  "You're welcome."  She gives me the water and I take a sip.

We go back to the task at hand for awhile before she randomly asks me, "So, Kiera.....do you like her?"

"As in?"  "You know, like a girlfriend."  "We've only been on one date, so it's too early to tell right now.  She is a really dope person, though, and that ass is crazy."

"It's kind of funny you have an interest in her.  I didn't think she'd be your type."

"What do you think my type is?"  I answer with a frown.  "Studs."  "And did someone tell you that?"

"Yeah, Deena did."  "Ms. Stevens, I'm gonna tell you now, I don't have a type.  I just like lesbians in general, studs just happen to be my favorite.  I've never told Deena I have a type.  As long as a female is lesbian, has a great personality, and we vibe, that's all that matters.  It's shallow to go off of looks.  I think types are stupid."

"I'm sorry.  She gave me misinformation."  I tilt my head, a look on my face that indicates that I'm trying to figure something out.

"Why do y'all discuss me anyway?"  "She brings you up a lot.  I don't really do it, and if I do, it's because you're being standoffish to me and I don't know why."

I fix my head back and lean back, supporting myself with my arms.  "What do y'all say about me?  If you want, I can fact check for you."

"For the most part, she just teases me about you.  I just think she finds it funny that you're my student and I'm her friend.  Nothing serious."

Hmmmmm......  There has to be another reason Deena would tease her....right?

"Are you sure about that?"  "You know, since we're asking questions here, what was up with you and the "lips" thing?"

My eyes immediately get big, and I look away from her.  Kiera, please save me from this conversation.

"I think we should get back to tutoring."  "No.  I wanna know.  You've been asking me questions all this time and I've been answering them.  How is it fair that you won't do the same?"

I look everywhere else but at her.  "Ms. Stevens, please don't make me answer it.  I hate awkward situations, and it's legit just gonna make me shut you out again."

Her face seems to change at the last part, and it's as if she's contemplating pushing me further or just leaving it alone as I asked.

"You run away from questions, and I don't think that's fair, but I'll leave it alone.  For now, at least."

"For now?"  "Yes.  I'm respecting your wishes for now."  "But I don't want to talk about it at all.  Like, ever."  "But I still do."

"But-"  "Everything's not about your feelings.  What about mine?"  Feelings?

"What do you mean by that?  What feelings?"  "I feel like talking about it, but you don't.  You know what, I don't want to hear about another casual topic from you until we talk about it."

I suck my teeth, frowning.  My jaw drops.  "I don't think that's fair."  "I don't think it's fair that the one time I ask you something, you don't want to answer it."

"I-"  The doorbell interrupts my sentence, and I'm kinda grateful for it.  "That's probably Kiera, so you're gonna have to leave my room now."

She looks down and sighs, not saying a word as she begins packing up her materials.

I go to the door and look through the peephole, and sure enough, it's the bootylicious queen herself.

I should look through the peephole more often.  Half the time, I'm either too lazy or too annoyed to.

I open the door for her.  "Hey, Sexy."  She greets with a smile.  "Hey, Super."  I smile back.

"Ready for our date?"  "More than ever."  I walk out of the door.  "I actually have something for you."

"Really?  Aw, you didn't have to."  "I know, but I wanted to.  You deserve nice things as well."

She gives me a small box and I open it.  "OMG, I love my new watch.  Thanks, Cutie."  I hug her and put the watch on.

"Hehe.  You're welcome."  We get in her car, and she starts driving.  "Whose car was that?"  She questions.

"It's Ms. Stevens'."  "Is she over a lot?"  "Yeah.  She's friends with my sister."  "It's so weird seeing a teacher from our school in your house."

I laugh.  "Yeah, I said the same thing.  Too bad my sister sees absolutely nothing wrong with it.  I'm still trying to get used to it."

As time goes on, it's apparent that we don't have an actual set destination.  We're on a driving date.

I look out of the window.  "The city is really pretty."  I say.  "I know, right?  It's even prettier at night time."

"You know what's cute?"  "What?"  "Baby turtles."  She smiles.  "Baby turtles are adorable.  Most baby animals in general are so cute."

As we continue the drive, we talk about everything under the sun, from baby turtles to Family Guy.

She pulls into a restaurant parking lot.  We go in and get our food to go.  We eat in her car, chatting and getting to know each other more.
