Chapter Four

Dot: WAKE UP ASSHOLES, ITS THE FIRST DAY OF JUNIOR YEAR!!

Fatin: Dot shut the fuck up.

Rachael: Both of you shut up, you're interrupting my work out

Leah: You're working out at 6:30 in the morning?

Nora: She always is 🙄

Toni: Y'all, some of us aren't ready to get up yet so please take it elsewhere.

Martha: Anyone down for breakfast before school?

Shelby: I'm down

Dot: I'm down

Fatin: I'm always up for food

Nora: Why not, first day breakfast sounds good... Racheal will be there too, even if I have to drag her.

Martha: Toni?

Toni: uh yeah, I'll pass

Shelby: Come on Toni, we're all going, it'll be fun. Like old times.

Toni: Fuck old times.

Toni slammed her phone down on her bed beside her.

"This is such bullshit. Everyone is going out and I can't because I can barely stand to be in the same room." Toni said to herself.

She rolled over hoping that sleep would take over again since she didn't need to be up for another hour or so.

"Toni what are you still doing!? You're going to be late." Roger said waking up the young girl.

Toni woke up in a panic.

"Shit shit shit." She ignored Roger, grabbed a pair of jeans, a hoodie and some Nike high tops and sprinted to the bathroom anxious to get to school on time.

Luckily Roger was going into to work later today so he was able to give her a ride to school.

As they pulled up to the school Toni jumped out of the car before it even came to a complete stop.

"Okay have a nice day!" Roger yelled even though she didn't hear him.

Toni already missed home room so her next class was English, all the way across the school.

She finally made it to class and barged through the door. Everyone's eyes looked up at the sudden intruder, the only eyes Toni saw were Shelby's.

"Of course" Toni said with an eye roll before taking her seat in the back.

"Well hello there, and who are you?" The teacher asked while walking towards the back.

"Uh Toni."

"Well Toni, I'm Mr. Rodriguez, and I don't appreciate tardys in my class."

"Sorry, won't happen again." Toni said looking down at her notebook.

"Yeah I know it won't because you and I are gonna buddies in detention." Mr. Rodriguez put his hand on her shoulder and did an arrogant Pat before walking towards the front of the class.

"Why are you already being an asshole." Toni blurted out.

"Excuse me?" Toni stood up and made her way towards the front of the class.

She felt a hand grab her wrist stopping her from moving forward.

"Toni dont." The brunette looked down to see her ex staring up at her with a serious face.

Normally this would stop her completely in her tracks but not anymore.

"Fuck off." Toni ripped her hand away from Shelby and continued to the front of the class.

" I was tardy and apologized for it and instead of giving me a warning you're being an arrogant ass and decided to embarrass me in front of the whole class."

"Out. Get out of my class. Come back when you feel like being a respectful student." Toni stormed out the door before anything else could be said.

She needed to calm down and there was one place that allowed her to do that, the gym.

Toni made her way there and decided to shoot around a bit until next period.

"Uh hi." Toni whipped around and rolled her eyes.

"What do you want Shelby." Toni continued dribbling and shooting lay ups.

"You Uh forgot this in class and I decided to bring it to you."

"Thanks, you can just leave it over there."  Shelby grabbed the rebound of Tonis shot and held the ball.

"Shelby give me the ball."

"I'll give you the ball if you just give me five minutes." Toni walked up to Shelby.

"Why should I even give you a second thought let alone five minutes of my time."

"Because I love you." Shelby belted out.

"You know what, keep it." Toni walked over to her bag and then made her way into the locker room. Hoping to take a quick shower before her next class.

"Did you not hear me?" Shelby asked while entering the room.

"I heard you Shelby, I just don't believe you." Shelby marched her way over to Toni stopping her from reaching the shower.

"I do Toni, I love you." Shelby grabbed the back on Tonis neck and connected their lips in a passionate kiss.

Everything happened so fast that all inhibitions were lost.

First they were arguing now Toni was pushing Shelby against the wall kissing her.

Shelby moved and turned on the shower before returning back to the Brunette. She reconnected their lips.

The blonde lifted up The Brunettes shirt, hers soon following.

After a few more minutes both girls where in the shower.

Toni was the only person Shelby had ever slept with. Her whole life she was committed to waiting for marriage. Even when she was dating Andrew, they did nothing more than kiss. Make out sessions didn't even reach passionate points.

But with Toni, with Toni, Shelby changed. She opened herself up, she became who she was meant to be.

She wanted to wait until marriage because she wanted to trust the person, to love them unconditionally. With Toni the trust and love came easily.

When they were together, there wasn't a care in the world. All they needed was each other and everything would be okay.

"Toni." Shelby shuttered as Toni kissed her way back up reconnecting their lips.

As they broke apart the realization of the situation came into the light. Toni shut off the shower and grabbed a towel.

Once she dried herself off she threw on her clothes, grabbed her bag, and left the room. Shelby grabbed another towel and exited the shower.

"Toni please can we talk abou-" she stopped when she realized the the girl left the room.

Shelby ran her hands through her messy wet hair, "fuck."
