Never Stop (Shoni)

Chapter Seven

"So are you guys back together or not?" Fatin asked.

Fatin, Toni, Martha, and Dot are all hanging out at Martha's house Friday night.

Toni was explaining what happened the first night of school, with the permission of Shelby of course.

She told them every detail, how she found Shelby sick, how Shelby has cancer, what her treatment plan is, and what went down at the beach.

At first everyone was heartbroken. To know their best friend was sick was almost too much for them to comprehend but after some time to process and some time to really all be together and see that she may be sick but she's still Shelby, made the process a little easier.

"That's the problem, I don't know. She didn't really clarify. I think she's still too scared, which I understand. I've decided not to push it. I promised her that I'll be there for her and if that's enough then that's enough. She needs to focus on herself first."

"My little Toni is growing up!" Dot yelled before tackling Toni into a a hug. Fatin and Martha soon joined in on this dog pile.

"You're killing me!"

"Shut up, you love it." Fatin said. The laughing was cut off when Tonis phone started to ring.

Everyone got off and allowed her to answer the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hi."

"Hey Shelby, everything okay?" Toni asked, scared that something has happened.

Toni would be lying if she said that worst case scenarios didn't run through her head every second of the day.

This is such a scary thing for anyone, but for teenagers to go through this heart break and fear is just not right, Toni is horrified, she doesn't want to lose her best friend and her soul mate. She's trying to be calm and collected. She's trying to be supportive but that fear still lingers and it's taking a toll.

"Haha everything is fine. Rachel, Leah, Nora and I were wondering if you all wanted to come to my house for a sleep over, my parents are going to our camp so we'll all have the house to ourselves."

"We'd love to!"

"Great see you then!" With that Shelby hung up the phone.

The girls all started getting ready to
Make their way to Shelby's house for the night.

They of course had to make a pit stop so Fatin could get some weed and alcohol so they could truly enjoy the weekend.

About fifteen minutes later the girls were immediately welcomed into the house by an excited Shelby.

"Someone is in a good mood." Dot said entering the house.

"And it's about to get better. I brought the alcohol!" Fatin yelled holding up the vodka, every else scream in excitement.

Toni and Shelby on the other hand we're still in the door way smiling at each other.

These are the moments when the two girls knew they meant more to each other than they thought. Two years they've been together before Shelby ended it. Two years of pure bliss and yet every time they see each other the wind is knocked out of them and their hearts have palpitations.

It's almost as if they fall in love all over again.

"Hello love birds, the party is over here." Leah said breaking their eye contact.

"Oh right." Toni said walking into the living room and taking a seat next to Nora.

Shelby soon followed taking a seat next to Martha and giving her a hug.
