Chapter Nine

It's been two days since Gyatso left. Aang was in the backyard playing with Appa.

"Ok Buddy you ready to go" Appa bounced around in excitement then gave his friend a large lick.

Aang laughed  "I'm going to take that as a yes."

Appa roared loudly while Momo came and landed on his shoulder.

"Ok you can come too Momo" the Lemur chirped happily until he spoke again.
"But you need to behave we will not drop food on the adults, ok?"  Momo chirped in agreement.

So with that Aang hopped on Appa and headed to the location Pakku sent him.

"Sweetie?" a voice said.

"Yes Kanna" shouted another voice.

Kanna walked into the kitchen seeing her husband eating. "I thought you promised to never ever teach bending again."

Pakku sighed "This is different love, this isn't an average water bender."

She shot a glare at him "I don't care if it's a prodigy there must be someone else that can teach him."

He shook his head "There's not"

Kanna raised her voice "Don't give me that what's so special about them"

Finally tired of arguing he snapped "He's the Avatar" the second those words rolled off his tongue he regretted it.

Kanna's eyes widen before softening "Well I guess that makes since."

"Trust me if it was anyone else I would say no but I need to do this." he said while walking up to her and putting his arms around her.

"I would like to meet him, why don't  you invite him for dinner, we can do it at Hakoda's
house."

Pakku hummed "Well we can't speak of him being the Avatar" she nodded "But wouldn't Hakoda be mad about having dinner at his house all of a sudden?"

She laughed "He had dinner in my house for 18 years plus he can't tell his mother no"

Laughing he gave her a kiss "I have to go set up for him, I'll invite him over tonight... oh he's an air bender so make a meal with no meat, Love you sweetie" opening the door he hopped in his car and left.

Aang finally made it to a plain white building making him do a double taking wondering if this is the place.

He hopped off of Appa and told him to go get some exercise and the bison flew off. With Momo on his shoulder he took a deep breath and walked in. What he saw next was something he didn't expect.

In front of him was a winter wonderland, ice and snow making it freezing cold. Aang saw an older man in the corner practicing and walked up to him.

"Excuse me" the man turned around. "Are you Mr. Pakku"

"Yes I am, I am guessing you are the Avatar"

He nodded "Yes sir but please call me Aang, Sir Pakku." He bowed to him.

"Please Aang call me Master Pakku"

"Ok Master Pakku what are we doing first, maybe a water cyclone or the water whip?"

The old man chuckled "Something like that"

Aang's face turned excited.

Twenty minutes later, Aang was bored they had been doing the push and pull move forever.

"Um Master Pakku I think I got it" he told him.

"No you don't" Pakku responded.

"Yes I do I'm literally moving it" he said getting annoyed.

"No you don't" his teacher repeated.

"How?!?" Aang said raising his voice.

"You are moving it but you're not feeling it become one with the water" he instructed.

Aang took a deep breath and concentrated.

He got in the zone and was only snapped out of it when he heard Pakku's voice. "Very good you did it."

Aang smiled.

"You're almost as good as a two year old."

And his smiled dropped.

They continued training until Pakku finally was happy with Aang's progress.

"Well Aang you did well maybe if you keep it up you might master it by my age."Pakku grinned.

Aang face showed disappointment and Momo saw this. So Momo got a pile of snow and dropped on Pakkus head for revenge.

"Next time he does that he is being cooked" he said while bending the snow off of him.

Momo heard this and felt threatened so he attacked Pakku.

He screamed while Aang snickered "Momo stop he's a friend"

The lemur chirped and flew off somewhere. Pakku spoke again "Aang my wife Kanna would like to meet you and asked me to invite you for dinner.

This shocked Aang "Um sure" Pakku nodded.

"I will send you the address don't be late it's starts at 6:00"And with that Pakku left.

Katara was yelling at Sokka to finish cleaning. She was made because she was having a guest over and she didn't feel like dealing with that.

"Sokka your room better be clean and not smell like rotten eggs."she yelled.

Her dad was still finishing getting dress while her grandmother was cooking. Eventually all the boys were downstairs dressed nicely when the doorbell rung.

"Katara get the door dear" her grandmother shouted.

She went to open the door and she yelled

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE"
