Chapter Fourteen

I DONT OWN SHIT

Sokka, Katara, Suki and Yue were sitting inside the police station waiting to be questioned.

"I can't believe this happened" Suki finally spoke up.

Sokka scoffed "I can"

The girls turned their heads towards Sokka and he continued "I knew something wasn't right, he was always the violent type."

"But that doesn't mean that would lead him to be a murder" Katara responded.

Sokka shook his head "But he seemed to be worse and worse like eventually fighting wasn't enough for him. It was like he needed a new challenge, something to satisfy him."

They sat there in silence after Sokka finish talking. Eventually the were questioned and were able to leave. They weren't able to provide to much information except for Sokka who hung out with Jet from time to time.

Hakoda was waiting at home for them. He was worried sick, ever since Kyas death his mind would wonder to the worse possibility. So when he heard about the situation his chest got heavy and he started panicking.

So when he heard the door opened he jumped up and ran to give his two children a hug.

"We're fine dad" Sokka said while patting his back.

Aang never expected this, he knew Jet was an evil person but he never believed he would go this low. Holding back tears, Aang looked down at his hands seeing the blood covering them.

He knew she wasn't going to make it but he didn't want to lose hope. He prayed to the spirits that she would make it but his prayer fell on deaf ears.

Ever since the incident he hasn't been able to leave. He was being questioned by hospital staff and knew he would eventually have to speak to the police.

His guilt was at an all time high, he felt that it was his fault one way or the other. "I'm the Avatar I'm suppose to save people and I couldn't even save her" He thought.

Soon he was taken to the police station for questioning but everything seemed to be a blur. He was there physically but mentally he was elsewhere. He was walking through the motions like he was on autopilot.

When he was finally able to go home he rushed back to his house and cleaned up. He had blood all over him and his clothe. He threw them off and took a shower.

He finally changed and made it to his bed. When he hit the mattress, he let all the pain that was being held, out. He cried until he feel asleep.

When Sokka woke up he ran to his sisters bedroom "WAKE UP!!!"

"Shut up Sokka I'm not making you a triple pancake supreme with extra bacon and egg" she groaned back while sitting up in bed.

"What no that's not what I was going to ask but now to you mention it" Katara glared at him "Never-mind but we never even checked on Aang, we have to make sure he's okay"

Katara's eyes widen and her heart started beating fast as worried overcame her like never before.  She shot up out of bed and yelled at Sokka "Hurry up and get dressed. NOW"

She ran out the room pushing him out the way leaving Sokka confused. She didn't know why but hearing Aang not being ok scared her. But she just chalked it up to her being a caring person.

He had never seen his sister act like this.
"Why is she acting like this? She's never been this worried about someone. Who cares she's  probably just being weird again" he thought to himself.

Aang woke up with a jolt of fear, he was breathing hard trying to catch his breath. He got out of bed and walked to the restroom to wash his face.

He looked in the mirror and saw his blood red eyes from crying last night. He was washing his face when he heard the doorbell ring.

He ran downstairs to check who it is and was surprised to see Sokka at the door.

"Aang Buddy hows it hanging?" Sokka said while dapping him.

"Uhh ok I guess" Aang responded with a shrug clearly still tired"

Then another figure walked up to the door way.
"Hi" Katara said standing there awkwardly.

But before Aang could respond Katara eyes ran up his body due to him being shirtless. Heat rushed to her cheeks as she looked at his toned body. "Lord have mercy, the spirits blessed him"

"Katara HELLO???" Sokka's voice broke her out of her trance.

"Huh what happened?" she said sheepishly."

"Aang asked if you wanted breakfast?" Sokka told her.

She just laughed it off with her cheeks still on fire "Yea hehe"
