A few more days passed, though with very little progress gained in return for Tsuna. The young sky just could not seem to be capable of restraining his flames' power properly once they were in use. At this point, Tsuna was starting to think that the endeavour was just impossible for him. The teen was currently skulking about the rooftops, presence hidden with the aid of the night. He was too annoyed right now after another day of no progress, and the strong feeling was preventing him from sleeping. Which in turn had made him more annoyed until he just threw the idea of sleeping tonight out the window. He'd already had his fill of blood for the night, so he just patrolled the area.

"Baby carnivore" Kyoya acknowledged with a small nod when the sky landed next to him after leaping from a different building.

'The baby carnivore is restless'

"I missed out" Tsuna sighed, eyeing the crumpled and defeated forms of a few people, they'd obviously been troublemakers if Kyoya had gotten to that. Though there was a chance that they had also just been too loud for the skylark's taste.

Steel eyed the other, the sky's fangs were longer than he'd seen them in years. The way they caught the moonlight was fascinating "You're finally letting your fangs out" Kyoya stated, excited about the prospect of the baby carnivore becoming more carnivorous.

'We will truly fight one day, I must not let the baby carnivore fall before then'

Tsuna offered a closed mouth smile, feeling a bit self conscious after having his fangs pointed out "Ie-chan is going to find out anyways" He frowned, hoping that his brother would better handle supernatural stuff than last time "I'm not there to file down his teeth"

Kyoya's eyes narrowed as he remembered how Ie had panicked before falling unconscious and waking up, only to have forgotten anything vampire related that he'd learned "The creature should be more stable now" The skylark wasn't sure how to classify Ie, the other was no longer an insect now that his sanity was intact, but he hadn't fully stabilized before he'd left. So the lightning was to be a creature until he proved otherwise.

'The baby carnivore has already decided to have the creature as an element, it would be ideal for the creature to at least reach omnivore status'

"Hey Kyoya" The sky's voice was soft "How do you manage to control your flames so well?" The skylark was so controlled in how he brutally beat down his opponents, only doing the intended amount of damage. Though said damage was still scary.

"I do what I want and they obey" He eyed Tsuna "Maybe you're thinking too much"

'The lack of progress is disappointing, the baby carnivore should grow at a faster pace'

Tsuna deflated, he really should have known better than to ask the skylark. Kyoya was more about action and instinct than thinking, Mukuro would have been a better person to ask "I instinctively use too much flames for even the simplest of things" He sighed.

"Use everything, then use some after recovery to get the feeling of weaker flames" Kyoya actually understood that using too much force was useless, despite his distaste for weak herbivores "Don't let your flames recover"

'After being forced into weakness, the baby carnivore may learn the feeling of the weakness and utilize it'

The sky blanched "I'll try that later since what I'm trying isn't doing anything" It was going to suck, he really didn't want to do it.

"I'll inform your other carnivore" The other had seemed reluctant, and that was no good. The baby carnivore needed to grow strong. Before Tsuna could respond, loud yelling erupted from a few streets over. Both teens leapt into action.

Ie huffed in annoyance as he flipped his pillow, fluffed it, then switched which side he was sleeping on. He was tired, but he couldn't sleep, his mouth hurt a lot. Some of his teeth must have gotten chipped or even a bit broken when he'd face planted on the ice since his mouth was filled with many small cuts from said teeth nicking everything around them. Sure they weren't serious injuries, but small cuts hurt a lot, like how papercuts and splinters did, and he had a ton of mini cuts in his mouth. It didn't help that he'd forced himself to swish around saltwater in his mouth to help prevent infection.

'I hope my teeth don't look too bad now'

He'd been avoiding looking at his teeth for a while since he was afraid that he now looked stupid with some funny shaped teeth. The damage had to be noticeable since his mouth had easily started to get cut up recently. While it hadn't been right after, Ie figured that they'd been damaged, but hadn't fallen apart until after a few meals due to him chewing his food. At least the blood in his mouth didn't bother him too much.

Fon smirked as he watched his charge struggle to fall asleep, already knowing what the teen's problem was. It was amusing to watch the other struggle since Ie would have easily identified the problem if he'd just looked in a mirror. Ie's fangs had grown just enough to be visibly different from his other teeth, and they weren't going to be getting any shorter. The act of knocking someone unconscious just to file down their teeth was just too odd, even for him.

'He should be able to handle it better now'

If not, then Ie would have to make himself handle it. Tsuna couldn't baby Ie forever, it was past time for the lightning to realize that he wasn't as human as he'd thought he was.

'Though I should keep an eye on him, he did used to call Tsuna a monster even without actively knowing that he was technically right'

The storm arcobaleno didn't want his new student to fall into a bout of guilt ridden depression. Mental problems often take a lot longer to fix, and they were already working on Ie's mental fortitude. They really didn't need to hurt what progress they've already made. 

Me: So fangs are growing in~ Tsuna knows how to deal with them but Ie doesn't because Tsuna never let him know~ The protecting ended up causing harm~
