Ie was feeling twitchy, something was wrong, but he didn't know what. Paying attention was difficult, especially with how hot it was. Thankfully he hasn't needed Fon to administer any antidotes to him so far, though there had been a close call with a black widow. Thankfully, the red marking had warned him to keep a good distance from it. Not that he wouldn't have anyways, spiders were creepy.

'I want to go back home'

The lightning frowned as he skilfully arced his flames in a loop around a tree trunk without singing it. It was a dead tree, only still standing due to its roots. It was the only tree so far that he felt comfortable enough to risk damaging it. Rain forest trees were important right? Like extra important? He wasn't sure. He just knew that people weren't happy when they got cut down.

His training had been going well, it was actually a little embarrassing that he'd improved so much after trying to trust his abilities. Ie had known that his unease had been a significant part of the problem, he'd just been hoping that his emotions hadn't been hindering him that much. Unfortunately, they had been, so now that he was managing to get his act together, he was doing well. His natural talent for using his flames made progress quick and easy.

'I feel like I'm cheating... I hope Tsuna is improving just as well as I am'

Thinking about his brother made him feel uneasy, it made him want to head back to Japan and see him again. The feeling had only grown in the last few days and Ie wasn't sure if he liked that feeling more than the guilt he used to feel when it came to the sky or not. Ie still felt bad about how much he'd hurt Tsuna, but it was less of a harsh pain than it'd been at the start.

'Tsuna is strong and I got hurt too...'

Being away from the other had allowed him time to think, Tsuna had let himself be hurt. With all the times that Tsuna had gotten back at him, he knew that his brother had been capable of protecting himself. So that made him feel a little better, he hadn't been forced to hurt someone who was helpless. The person who he'd been hurting had been perfectly capable of protecting himself. Ie just wished that his target hadn't been Tsuna.

'I'm becoming capable, I can think clearly, and I don't feel as if I need to hurt Tsuna anymore. I wasn't okay, but I'm becoming okay. My flames are listening to me, and they're starting to feel right. I am myself again, even if I'm still not quite sure who I am, I am still myself'

Ie shot another two arcs of flames outwards, the green sparked, but more directed than it usually was. They twined around the tree before merging together then splitting into four different lightning forks. Brown tinged with green narrowed in concentration as a thin static membrane formed between each fork. A doughnut shaped barrier had formed with the tree at its center, untouched by the green flames. The lightning let out a breath, using that shape had been harder than just making a single dome. Could he one day make a barrier within a barrier?

"Ie, I think that we should head back to Japan soon" Fon stated, he'd been there the whole time watching Ie practice. He was quite pleased with the other's progress so far.

The young lightning frowned, allowing his flames to dissipate "But we haven't been here nearly as long as we were in the mountains" Not that he was complaining or anything, he really wanted to go home. He just thought that it was a little weird that they were leaving their current location so soon.

'I know that I've improved with my control, but I don't think that my heat resistance could have gone up enough to matter'

Fon nodded "True, but I'd rather be in Namimori" He eyed Ie "I'll think up some other way for us to improve your heat resistance" He needed to be near his sky. The storm arcobaleno really didn't like the heavy feeling that was growing in his chest "You want to return now too, so we might as well go" With how twitchy Ie had been lately, the teen was probably feeling something similar to what he was feeling. Ie just wasn't as experienced with identifying that kind of feeling within himself just yet.

"Yeah" Ie agreed "I really want to see Tsuna, I miss him a lot"

'I can't wait to show him how much I've improved'

"Go wash up and pack your things, we're going to catch the first flight that we can" The feeling wasn't urgent, so he knew that his sky was doing well, but the feeling was still heavy. It was odd, usually such heaviness was accompanied by an extreme urge to see Tsuna. He'd been able to hold off on acting on said urge for a few days.

'It's so strange, I don't like it. Checking up on Tsuna will hopefully make the feeling go away'

While Fon could go ahead and just make a phone call, the storm just knew that he'd most likely need to see Tsuna in order to get the heavy feeling to abate. Popping up unexpectedly should also serve as a happy surprise for his sky as well. Tsuna would be thrilled to see the two of them, especially Ie because of his brother complex...

'I'd been hoping to keep them separated for a little while longer, but checking on Tsuna is a more pressing concern at the moment. I doubt that they'll completely relapse and rely too much on each other'

The storm arcobaleno called up the airport to book their tickets as he made his way back to their shared hotel room to pack up his own things as well. For most people booking a flight with so little notice could be a hassle, but he knew the right people to get the job done.

'I wonder if I should pick up something sweet for Tsuna on the way to the airport'
