Kiri pov.
Over the past week me and Suki just stayed in my apartment but I made sure to go visit Mitsuki everyday. I was glad Inko decided to sleep over in the guest room so she wasn't alone.vOnce the squad heard the news they obviously called to check on Suki.We went to the funeral three days ago. It was really sad I did try my best not to cry and be there for Suki but we just ended up crying in a group hug with him, Mitsuki, and Inko.
I kept thinking about the promise I made Masura.
Last night I had a dream where Masura told me to bring Suki to his grave. I decided to just listen because even if it was all just my subaconscious I think it'd be good for him.
"Hey baby I think we should-" I was cut off by Suki. "Go to my dad's grave sure" He said. "That's great. Wait- how did you know what I was going to say?"
"You did that thing where you're thinking but actually talking to me" He sighed. There's been a lot of times I was in class and he'd always tell me I was doing that.
At first he thought there was something wrong but the doctor said it's normal for people who are away from those Soulmates for a while after they met. Apparently a part of my brain is just thinking about him.
Apparently it's the the effects of being away from your soulmate after you've met. Some are like mine but other people have actually physical reactions.
Like Suki he got a rashes on his arms due to irritation from not seeing his Soulmate. He ended up getting a cream for it but it just proved how hard the three years are going to be.
Of course he was going to graduate before me since he course was three years and mine was four.
[Time skip to at the grave yard.]
I stood slightly behind Suki holding his handsl we looked at the gravestone infornt of us. I could see it was hard for him, I sighed and sqeezed his hand to show my support and he sqeezed back in appreciation.
After a moment he let out a shaky sigh"Hey old man" he let go on my hand dropping down squating by the end of the gravestone. "It really sucks not having you around" he continued.
"Hey Suki look" I said in a soft voice. He turned to me then where I was pointing. There was a beautiful butterfly with multicoloured wings.
"A Crowned Hairstreak they we're his favorite" Suki smiled sitting down. I sat down next to him. "He'd always take me camping and wake me up at like four am just to see them coming out of their cacoons"
"That sounds amazing -ohhh" I let out a small chuckle as the butterfly flew and landed on his nose. "I think it's his way of telling you you'll be alright" I smiled looking at the sky.
"Sounds like something he'd say" Suki chuckled making the butterfly fly but it just flew into his hair. "Plus I'm sure his last wish would be for you and you're mom to be happy" I smiled.
"Wow either you two think the same or you had some deep talk about last wishes because those are the exact words he told me" Suki chuckled. "He told you?" I tilted my head to face him.
"Yea once he told me if something we're to ever happen to him that his only wish would be for me and the hag to be happy" he sighed. "He definitely was an amazing Dad" he added.
"Hey wait here don't move" I said jumping up. I run to the car and came back with my sketch book. "What are you doing?" He asked as I already began drawing. "Shhh don't move"
"Ok ok" he chuckled. I smiled and began drawing him with the butterfly in his hair and his dad standing behind him smiling. "Are you done now?" Suki asked.
"Yea but don't look I need to add finshing touches" I said not even looking up. "Can you get me my colors and makers?" I asked. "Yea sure where's your art bag?" He asked getting up.
"In the boot" I answered. I heard him walked away and looked up to see the butterfly on the top of the grave stone. I smiled as Suki came back up and handed me the bag. I thanked him and finished my drawing.
"Ok so it's not all that good because it's a quick sketch but here you go" I smiled handing him the sketchbook. "E-ei" I looked up to see him smiling at the picture with tears in his eyes.
"It's so fucking beautiful I love it" he smiled setting it down. He tackled me into a hug I hugged back and smiling. "I'm glad you like it. I'll make a even better one on an actual canvas" I smiled.
"Really? That'd be great" he smiled letting go. "Of course anything for you" I smiled back. "Let's get going then it's gonna get dark soon" he smiled standing up and helping me up. I grabbed my bag and sketchbook.
"Look" I heard him murmer I turned to see the butterfly flying away. "Well it was good talking to you dad" he smiled. I held his hand as we walked back to the car. "Thanks for making me go. That was good for me" he smiled.
He was leaving tommorow which honestly sucks, but it's only counting down to when we can finally be together again without the whole long-distance thing.
