Summary: Tommy & Tubbo cuddle in Snowchester for most likely the last time.

Neither of them dared to admit it. They couldn't admit it, but they still knew. They knew that this night could be their very last night, despite the hard training and amount of work and effort they put into getting all the necessary supplies, it was still Dream they were up against. Dream, the guy that has caused them so much pain and suffering than anyone else on the server. It didn't help that both still had yet to be healed past scars that have now been reopened, and this time, no one helped them patch up. This time, they had to deal with everything alone. Dream, the guy that drove the two apart, and let them slowly drown in guilt, self-hatred and sadness. The worst part was, that he didn't even seem to have a reason. Not even an excuse for such destructive actions, especially directed towards kids that had just survived a traumatic loss of their home and a loved one. There definitely was no excuse for his actions, but he still could have gave it a better shot, rather than 'it's fun'. Surely the blonde wasn't a complete sociopath, right? There was no way Dream just one day woke up, and decided he wanted to make everyone's life a living hell, much like the lives of four children...maybe three, considering that no one really knew the last time Purpled has been around. Nonetheless, he still did completely manipulate Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo, and drove them apart.

Ranboo was really nowhere to be found at the moment, along with like six other people, and even though Tommy and Tubbo were by each other's side, Tubbo still had his doubts, afraid that Dream might make the blonde choose between him and Tommy's precious discs. Part of him believed that if it came to that, Tommy would choose Tubbo, them against the world and versus Dream, right? While the other - bigger part, ached and has chosen to believe that Tommy would do anything to get the discs back, maybe even if it meant sacrificing his best friend's life. I mean..he did say it.. He thought. His mind searched for the one unwanted memory, of Tommy yelling at him that the discs had always mattered more than the brunette did, and even though Tommy had apologized for it, and clearly wasn't in his right mindset, those words burned into his skin, still to the remaining day, and would leave scars that were bound to never heal.

But even if all of that was above their heads, it still didn't stop the two boys from snuggling close to one another in Tubbo's new civilization called Snowchester. They were currently in Tubbo's house. It was nice and cozy, the fire in the fireplace producing warmth, crimson flames brushing against the wood, creating faint snapping sounds as smoke made it's way through the chimney and then outside.

They were laying on the couch, Tommy on his back, and Tubbo on top of him, his head rested on the younger's chest, his soft chestnut colored hair reaching and slightly tickling the taller's chin. Tommy had his arms wrapped around his shorter best friend who was already like half asleep. Tubbo has overworked himself again, pulled an all nighter the night before, gathering as many materials as he could, only to be discovered passed out on the stone floor of his vault by Jack Manifold - one of the other two civilians of Snowchester. Of course, he called the blonde over as fast as he could while Foolish stayed by Tubbo's side. After that, the blonde scooped the shorter into his arms which lead to them being cuddled up on Tubbo's couch. It has been about three hours since that happened, none of them really wanting to move. Finally, after what felt like forever the blonde spoke.

"How are you feeling, big man?" He asked, running his fingers trough the brunette's soft feathery hair.

"scared.." He responded, yawning right after he finished the sentence. This dragged out a small chuckle from the taller, squeezing Tubbo's smaller body for two or so seconds before he released him. "Yeah..same." Tommy said, his gaze settling on the wooden structure above him, seemingly holding the roof.

"You do realize, that if we die tomorrow, we die for good, right?" Said the brunette almost hesitantly, it almost sounded like uncertainty and sadness laced his voice that would normally be more high pitched and full of life. The almost magical thing about the shorter, was how loud he could be, but at the same time, it felt like his voice was soothing and delicate, almost like a spoon of fresh honey. That didn't appear to be the current case though. Ever since he became president, his voice seemed to get lower and it almost always sounded tired, he barely even shouted anymore. The boy himself has noticed the change, and felt guilty that people like Ranboo or Foolish didn't catch him at the better, older times when he wasn't a stressed out individual that was expected to take responsibility for everything, but was actually someone who wad allowed to act his age and was known as Tommy's adorable sidekick that would give you a flower crown and maybe if you gave a decent first impression you'd be rewarded with a mid sized bottle of honey.

"Yeah...I did realize Tubs. You know I'm going to protect you no matter what, right?" Said Tommy, giving him a small kiss on his fluffed up hair after finish his sentence.

Tubbo let out a sigh, already doubting his friend's reassuring words. Will you really?

"Okay Tommy. I trust you." He said, even if his mind spoke otherwise. He wasn't really in the mood to ruin their comforting moment by bringing up last time, and discussing the discs. The fucking discs. Honestly, if Tubbo could just give in to his fantasies and snap the two 'very priced' items in half, he would. He would a long time ago, but he knew he couldn't. No matter how much he hated that his best friend chose to fight for two music discs that weren't even that hard to get, they were still Tommy's, and if Tommy chose to fight, he would too, even if it meant he would have to die.

"I'm glad you trust me. I have backstabbed you so many times..I'm sorry." Said Tommy, running his hand up and down Tubbo's back. Cuddling him closer. A small smile played on Tubbo's lips, as he snuggled his face into Tommy's neck. "It's okay...not like I was any better, honestly." He admitted, slowly closing his eyes. He could feel the warmth radiating from Tommy's body feeling safe in the younger's arms. "I guess we both share our own amount of shitty mistakes we can't revert, huh?" Said Tommy, making them both chuckle a little. "Yeah..I guess so. That's what made us friends in the first place, anyways." Replied Tubbo, his mind trying to reach for the oldest of memories he's made with his best friend. "Whatever, clingy underscore. Get some rest." Mumbled the taller into Tubbo's hair, his voice dropping into a more quieter tone. God, it felt since forever he's heard that nickname. Things like this made him really think about how time has passed them by so quickly.

"Goodnight, Tommy."

"Night Tubs."

It was a matter of minutes, maybe seconds even before the two boys let exhaustion take over their bodies, soft snores slipping from their lips. No one really knew how the battle would be the following day, but if this was supposed to be their last night, they were glad they spent it this way. In each other's arms, together since the beginning till the end. How it was always meant to be.

If they die I'm starting a riot. If Tommy chooses the discs over his Tubbo I'm losing my mind. If Tubbo betrays Tommy and let's him die I'm banging my head against the wall for the next two days. That's it. That's how it'll be. Anyways, I feel stressed I need pufferfish-
