Summary: If you watched TDC, Newt yells at Thomas, and in the deleted scenes Newt tells Thomas about how he got his limp....yeah that's basically it except Newt is Tubbo, and Thomas is Tommy :p

The blonde carefully walked outside, immediately spotting is best friend, who was sat down, his legs dangling of the edge of the tall building.

Tommy has never seen Tubbo so mad, hence why he was worried. The shorter brunette was always the calm and collected one, ever since they met in the maze.

He walked towards Tubbo slowly, and kneeled down next to him.

"Sorry about that..." Tubbo suddenly broke the silence, looking at Tommy.

"It's fine.." The blonde replied. It honestly was fine, even though he was still a little taken back by the shorter's shouting earlier.

Silence has gathered around them, and Tommy didn't know whether to speak or not. Thankfully, Tubbo was first to break the silence again.

"I guess...I can't hide this anymore..."

The brunette said in a low voice, carefully rolling up his sleeve of his dark green jacket, revealing black stood up veins. Tommy's eyes widened.

Tubbo was infected...that must have been the reason he snapped.

Tears swelled up in Tommy's eyes, as he spoke.

"Tubbo, why didn't you...why didn't you tell me?" He asked, his voice filled with sadness.

Tubbo only looked away before he continued.

"I didn't really think it'd matter..." He said sadly.

Tommy wrapped his arms around the shorter, and pulled him into his chest, Tubbo carefully wrapping his arms around his blonde friend.

They stayed like that for a couple of seconds, before Tommy spoke again.

"You know we can still fix this Tubbo..." He whispered, tears still rolling down his cheeks. The brunette only shook his head slightly, still not pulling away from the comforting embrace.

"Did I...did I ever tell you about how I broke my leg, Tommy?" Tubbo asked out of the blue. Tommy was a little taken back, because he knew that Tubbo's limp was a very touchy subject to him.

"No..I don't think you did." The blonde replied.

A small silent pause hung in between them, until Tubbo started to talk again.

"It was a normal day in the glade...it was my day off from running, meaning it was Wilbur's turn to run the maze."

He started.

"I...I wasn't really feeling it that day though...you know I just felt very...sad and...unmotivated, if you will..."

Tommy continueted to listen, as he ran his hand through the shorter's hair.

"It was just the feeling, that nothing was gonna change, tommy after a year of running the maze almost everyday and finding nothing was just exhausting..." Tubbo exclaimed, sadness lacing his voice.

"It just felt like I was stuck in a loop..everyday was just like the other before, at that point I wasn't even living...I was just...existing I guess..."

Tommy pressed a small kiss on Tubbo's hair, holding him close. "You don't have to tell me, Tubs."

"No, it's okay...I just want you to understand.."

"Understand what?"

"..."

"Understand why I did it...why I climbed up one of the maze walls and...and..let go..."

Tubbo whispered the last part, afraid he'd break into tears if he were to say it loud enough.

Tommy's eyes widened, as tears continued to come. He held onto his brunette friend tighter, as the idea of him climbing up a wall and then jumping popped into his mind.

Tubbo buried his face in Tommy's chest, not wanting to let go.

"Tubbo...I- I'm so sorry I-"

"Don't be sorry.." Tubbo let out a chuckle. "it's not your fault, you know Tommy." He said.

"I know...I just wish I could have protected you.." Tommy replied sadly.

"Let's just...stay like this for a while please.." The smaller brunette said, as he closed his eyes.

Tommy nodded, still holding tightly onto his nose nearly asleep friend.

I'll find you that cure, Tubbo. I promise you. I am not going to lose you.
