Tubbo's eyes flew open, intense pain coming from everywhere making him wince. His breathing was unsteady, but he still managed to stand up.

He was just robbed of one of his three lives...that wasn't good.

He heard shouting of Many people in the distance, but one stood out the most. It was Tommy's.

The brunette's eyes widened. He took off in the direction of the tunnel, as he sent a message to his blonde best friend.

My tunnels, fast.

Then he started running.

He was exhausted, and everything hurt so bad. His previous bruises and cuts he recived from the cabinet hurt worse than ever, especially now that his new injuries hurt as bad.

His stomach was the worse, since that's where the firework went. He could feel blood staining his suit. The material was harsh, and scrapped painfully against the burns.

He mighy pass out from exhaustion and pain soon, but had to get as close to Tommy as he could.

After a few seconds, he tripped over his feet, but he was thankfully able to grip onto the walls. He leaned his weight onto the stone, as he tried to catch his breath. At this point, even breathing was a painful struggle, and he swore he would've given up, if he hadn't heard fast footsteps coming towards him.

A person turned a corner, and after spotting the badly injured brunette, he took off into a run towards him.

"Tubbo!" Tommy yelled after he saw his friend leaning against a wall.

"To..mmy..." He whispered.

The blonde quickly ran over to him, wrapping his arms carefully around his smaller frame, bringing him close to his chest, and kissing his forehead.

"it...it hurts.." He said in a weak hoarse voice, burying his face in the taller's chest. The agony in his voice completely broke the blonde's heart. He swayed the from left to right carefully, whispering sweet and comforting things into his ear here and there to try and take his mind off of the pain.

After about a minute, Tommy broke the silence.

"Can you walk?"

"I...I don't...I don't kn..ow"

His question was fast answered when they both pulled away, Tubbo immediately almost collapsing on the ground. Thankfully Tommy caught him.

"I'm taking that as a no then.."

He carefully picked the small boy up, pulling him close to his chest. Tommy began walking, while Tubbo's closed shut. He listened to the taller's heartbeat. It was a bit fast, but it was most likely from the shock and running. Eventually, he drifted off to sleep.

Tubbo's eyes started to slowly open. It took him a little while to get used to the morning lucidity. Sun rays crept through the blinds, indicating it was early. He tried to get up, but he realized he couldn't. Then, he noticed a pair of arms wrapped around him and hears the soft snores behind him.

The brunette smiled. Of course...clingyinnit. He though. Tubbo knew that his blonde friend hated to be called that, so that's exactly why he invented it. He carefully turned around, making sure he didn't put pressure on his newly formed wounds.

Tommy stirred a little, and woke up, opening his eyes.

"Hi.."

Said Tubbo in a quiet and raspy voice.

"Hey.."

The blonde replied, smiling. "You feeling okay?"

"Yeah, I'm doing better..not sure I'll be able to get out of bed though.." Tubbo chuckled.

"Man..I'm sorry I didn't like...try to save you, or something..I don't know...I just kind of stood there...paralyzed.." Said Tommy, his smile dropping a little. Tubbo only buried his face in the taller's chest.

"I don't think there was anything you could have done, honestly.." The brunette said. "It's really not your fault, Tommy."

The blonde nodded, and held his shorter friend close. "I'll make sure it doesn't happen again..I promise, Tubs."

"I hope so...not sure if I'd be able to take another firework to the chest." Joked Tubbo.

They decide to stay like that, Tommy making sure he didn't hurt Tubbo. It felt great to finally have him back.
