"it's all your fault leorio. that i'm not here" pietro yelled, fading into black
leorios breaths were fast and he was sweating. he shot up from his bed. he clutched his chest and let a tear slip down his face, beginning a stream of them.
the sudden movement caused kurapika to wake up, a bit shocked to find his lover crying.
"hey what's wrong" kurapika said softly, not wanting to upset his, usually optimistic partner even more.
"it's my fault, kurapika, pietro, i could've saved him if i didn't make him waste his energy, i'm so stupid" leorio choked out, tears falling down his face.
"what? no that was not your fault you wouldn't have been able to save him and you know that" kurapika said, shifting so he could hug the taller boy "you were just a kid"
"but i could've s-saved hi-" leorio sputtered, not able to talk anymore.
"hush honey, it's okay" kurapika said softly, hugging the other boy "deep breaths"
after a few minutes of kurapika trying to calm him down, and leorio crying into his chest, his tears stopped.
"hey- i'm- i'm sorry" leorio started,getting hushed by kurapika.
"don't be sorry, i love taking care of you, and you've dealt with god knows how many of my nightmares" kurapika stated, raking his hands through leorios hair.
kurapika looked over at the time, 5:46 am..
"do you think you'll be able to sleep again soon? or should we be up now" kurapika asked softly
"i probably won't sleep but you should go to sleep again" leorio replied
"no, if you're up i'm up, i'll go make breakfast" kurapika said, moving to get out of the bed.
"but five more minutes in bed please? i like hugging you" leorio said, getting a bit nervous at his words.
"getting shy are we?" kurapika chuckled "of course"
