A few days had passed since marinette's encounter with a certain black cat.
They spent a lot of time together that night and talked for hours about all different kinds of things. They both had similar ambitions and similar ways of looking at things which was nice.
Marinette as ladybug never really got to know chatnoir personally, since she always preferred a professional relationship with him - or maybe she was scared of falling for him aswell as adrien...
alya's eighteenth birthday was coming up soon and tomorrow was the day that both marinette and alya were going to go shopping! They needed to prepare dresses,, food,, party lights and decorations. Marinette was going to make sure alya had the best 18th birthday anyone could ever have.
Just as marinette was scribbling some notes down in her notebook a noticeable, gentle tap came from her trap door.
She got up from her desk and peered over at the silhouette of a certian black cat.
She clambered up onto her bed and carefully fiddled with the locking system of her trap door. She opened it and smiled 'back again I see'
'Well I could not, not come and visit a wonderful friend of mine,' chat smirked.
Marinette rolled her eyes at his cheesy comments before replying 'a wonderful friend, well I've only known you for a night so technically that makes you a stranger'
'Well in my civilIan form I'd say we're rather close so-'
'If we were so close why didn't you come and visit me right now in your civilian form' marinette interrupted playfully.
'Well let me think about this... 1 It's 11pm at night and I'm pretty sure it would be rather sus for me to come visiting you right now. 2 I don't exactly know how I'd get to your house without disturbing your parents and I can't exactly jump from rooftop to rooftop in my civilian form. You get the idea' chat ranted
'Wow you can withstand a valid argument - I mean I was joking, but I guess with that argument I can not not let you in'
'Why thank you puurincess' chat purred 'what exactly are you doing' chat asked looking at all these different notes pin pointed on the walls and scattered on the floor.
'Well it's one of my best friend's birthdays in a few days I'm planning the catering and fabrics I'm going to need to make a dress-'
'Wait you're able to make a dress I'm just a couple of days?' Chat interrupted in a shocked tone.
'Well, I've had lots of practice over the years I can work quickly and neatly... will you be coming to the party by any chance since we're apparently "close" in your civilian form' marinette asked with a smirk, still unsure of who the cheeky cat behind the mask could be.
'Pawsibly princess, I have been invited, but I'm not the most reliable person when it comes to setting dates and making sure I'll be there. My uh schedule is almost always fully booked' chat replied.
Marinette thought intently on how chat's life was so busy and scheduled. It sounded a lot like her best friend Adrien's.
Gosh she's cute when she's thinking...
'Ah you remind me of someone...' marinette smiled lovingly.
'Who might that be then princess?' Chatnoir smiled.
Marinette blushed...
'Well since you have the advantage of knowing who I am and me not knowing who you are.. I'm going to leave you sitting on the edge wondering which boy I've decided to compare you to' she smirked.
'Hey no fair, if I win a game of ultimate mega strike 5 Will you tell me?' Chat pouted
'Bring it on, just a warning I'm very good' marinette laughed.
Chat noir already knew this since as adrien, around 3 years ago him and marinette were assigned as a team to battle against other schools and they just happened to practice together a few times after school. He vividly remembered that memory for 2 reasons. One being that was the first ever time he got to see the real, confident and competitive side to marinette and two it was painful seeing marinette reject all these amazing treats her parents had offered them.
As they were playing chat was getting more and more frustrated, because of the lack of sympathy marinette had whilst playing. She just sat there with an intense stare whilst grinning like a mad women.
After his third loss chat clicked *play again* but as they began playing he started tickling marinette.
'DONT YOU DARE YOU STUPID BLACK CAT. I AM WINNING. YOU — hahaha ARE RUINING MY - OUCHH STOP- WINNING STREAK' marinette squealed.
Chat managed to grasp the controller out of marinettes hand and because of his height and advanced abilities, marinette had no chance of getting it back.
'Big big big cheat' marinette sulked like a 4 year old
Just as chat noir went to tease marinette some more, she tackled him to the ground to get the remote. She almost succeeded but chat pulled out an uno reverse card and rolled her onto the ground.
Marinette closed her eyes because of how exhausted she was from the long day whilst chat's eyes bored into hers as she slowly fluttered them open again. They both blushed and chat noir awkwardly got off of her.
'Hey that was fun, thanks again for tonight Mari-princess... I'll pawsibly see you at alya's birthday even though you might not know it... I'd say look out for me but you don't know what I look like' chat noir smirked before getting a wack to the head from a pillow.
Chatnoir scrambled up the trap door and winked his good byes to an adorable marinette who gazed furiously yet jokingly in his direction watching him run away.
'That cat' marinette mumbled lovingly...

Has it really been around 4/5 months since my last update? I am so sorry my lovelies. Quarantine and covid has really got me down at times. My motivation has been so low - not just in terms of story writing, but with doing school and still to continuing editing posts for my Instagram and TikTok can get a little stressful.
Thank you all so much for staying with me and being patient, I was incredibly happen to return to this book with 2k reads that's incredible, I love you all!
I will try to write more frequently from now on since my exams have been cancelled and my imagination is wanting to burst!
I hope you are all staying safe and well, make sure you look after your families and put them first. Corona is an awful virus to some and sadly my mum caught the worser symptoms.
