Adrien turned around to meet the person who had awoken him from his thoughts.

All it took was for him to gaze into her bright and cheerful eyes to forget the whole painful past they shared together.

Marinette truly looked gorgeous today. Her hair was slightly curled yet fell beautifully across her bare shoulders. She wore a tightly fitted dress which revealed her stunning hour-glass figure, with a matching hat, gloves and boots set to go with it.

He couldn't help but quickly check her out, enjoying her alluring yet stylish look that she had put on for him and others to admire.

'Late as always' he smiled before looking back towards the dancing waves of the river.

'classic me I guess, but I can also guarantee that you also woke up 15 minutes before we had to meet Mr Agreste' Marinette smiled playfully.

Adrien raised his arms above his hand 'caught red handed' he said guiltily.

'I just know you too well duh' Marinette rolled her eyes before shoving Adrien gently.

'Enough of the jokes and puns, I'm glad you came today. You look stunning mari. Beautiful in fact.' Adrien smiled genuinely.

A tinted crimson blush flowed across the bluehead's cheeks.

'Thank you Adrien, you don't look too bad yourself' mari smiled still slightly bashful.

'Pfft not too bad, I think I look rather handsome today' Adrien smirked pulling a smug pose whilst gently shoving Marinette back.

The couple both looked on towards the rivers shallow ends and sighed in sync. They were both relieved that they were able to have a laugh and tease with one another again just like old times.

Old times... felt like such a long time ago, but in reality everything which had happened from the sleepover to the half reveal to the heart break to the akumatisation happened within the space of 2 months. It was incredibly hard and stressful for both teens to deal with, but they both got through it. Spiritually and mentally together.

'You know there has been times where I doubted myself being ladybug. I never understood why I got chosen. I mean I can see the good qualities and traits within myself, but at the end of the day how was I... Marinette dupaincheng, The Baker's daughter... chosen to take on such an incredible and strong role? I'm sorry I'm going into a deep conversation right now, but since you already know... I guess... rather than hiding things from you, I can open up to you now,' Marinette's gaze drifted from the river's trance to meet with the blonde boy's eyes which appeared to be looking slightly guilty.

'I- uh don't quite understand how you became ladybug, but I can tell the qualities that you have completely fit with ladybug's image as well as the fact you are quite literally the strongest, shortest and perhaps smartest person - after me of course - that I know!' Adrien reassured her.
