You arrived at the Cavendish estate after 30 minutes or so. Gotta hand it to them, the place is beautiful, especially the large lake surrounding the estate.

The moment the car stopped in front of the mansion, the door was opened by a butler, and you were greeted by the Cavendishes. There stood 2 women, an adult and a kid, all of them had platinum blonde hair with tea-green highlights. 'Quite the lookers aren't they?'

Your mother beamed even brighter -if that was even possible- the moment her eyes met with the head of the house, lady Bernadette Cavendish. They both ran up and hugged each other tightly like some sort of lovers.

"Dear Beatrix, how long has it been? I've missed you so much!" Bernadette held her firmly, relief was clear in her voice as she stared at her with glossy eyes.

Your mother chuckled at her friend's action and cupped her face with her hands, "I'm sorry and I missed you too." She got out of the embrace and ushered you to come closer. Once next to her, she placed a hand on your head and looked back at her friend. "Look at what Adonis and I made!"

You slowly turned to your mother and looked at her, 'Oh, so I'm a 'what' now, huh?'

You were engulfed in a sudden embrace, your face being buried beep between a stranger's breast, slightly cutting off your oxygen. "Oh, Nines, she's adorable, despite the eyes and hair, she looks just like you, Bida."

"Bernie... I think you're suffocating her." Bathilda sweatdropped, seeing you struggle in the other woman's hold.

Bernadette let go and cupped your cheeks, smiling at you, "Hello little one, my name is Bernadette Cavendish but you can call me auntie."

'I thought I was going to die again...' Taking a deep breath, you introduced yourself, "Greetings Lady Cavendish, my name is Y/n Mcrae, the next head of the Mcrae family. It is a pleasure to finally meet you."

There was a sudden silence as everyone just stared at you, "Wow... you were right, Bida... she really is stiff." The two adults shared a look before laughing. "Well, anyway. Y/n, there's someone I want you to introduce." Bernadette turned around and pulled a smaller and younger version of herself, "This is my one and only darling little daughter. Your mother and I want you two to be friends." She gently pushed her daughter closer to you. "Introduce yourself to her, dear."

"U-um... m-my name is Diana Cavendish, it's nice to meet you." The girl timidly introduces herself. From the way she looked down and gripped the hem of her baby blue sundress, anyone could tell she was shy and hesitant.

"Now that the two of you are properly introduced, why don't you girls go to the garden and play so Bathilda and I can catch up." Bernadette smiled and ushered the little girls inside. "Now go have fun."

Leaving the adults behind, you followed the timid platinum-haired girl to the back. The walk was quiet, not a single word was exchanged as you walked past multiple doors and paintings.

Getting enough of the awkward silence, you decided to start a conversation with the young heiress, "Are you familiar with the performer Shiny Chariot?"

Diana slightly stiffened from the sudden question, she turned to face you and answered, "I- yes, I'm a fan. Are you?"

"I'm not." Diana visibly deflated after hearing your answer, but you continued, "but unlike the others in our 'community' I respect her as a witch. Her magic is amazing, and not to mention the amount of skill and concentration each spell takes makes me feel... giddy, in a good way of course."

"I know, she truly is amazing. I hope one day I could be a witch just like her." You spot a small smile on her face, you couldn't help but smile back.

"A smile suits you better, you know?" You took a step closer to her and gave a pat on her head. "And I'm positive that you'll be an amazing witch, even better than Shiny Chariot. Have a little more faith in yourself, Diana. I know you can do it."

Diana beamed, happily, she grasped your hand and continued the walk to the garden, "Anna already prepared some tea and cookies in the flower garden. Come on let's go!"

Her mood did a whole 180, from being a shy little girl who can't even make eye contact to an excited chatty girl. Who knows how long the two of you talked, the conversation was mostly about magic and spell casting.

You ended up having dinner at the Cavendish estate. Once finished, it was time to go home, Diana hugged you and with teary eyes, she spoke, "Can't you stay a bit longer?"

'Why do kid's opinions change so quickly?...' You let out a sigh, "Sorry, the sun has already set and it's getting dark. We need to go home and get some rest."

"You and your mother can spend the night here! I'm sure mother won't object!" Diana then buried her small face in the crook of your neck. "You're my first friend and I-I want to spend more time with you..."

'... kids are so clingy...' You turned to your mother to ask for help but stopped when you saw her in the same position as you. 'Is it just the Cavendishes who's just this clingy?!'

After hours of "negotiating," you and your mother were finally free to go, only after you agreed to have them come over to your house tomorrow. You've already had more than enough human interaction for the week and it's only Wednesday. 'This is going to be a long-ass week, isn't it?'
