You let out a tired sigh as you made your way to your room. After the visit to the nurse's office, you were left exhausted.
Because of the highly concentrated magical energy in your dominant arm, you've spent the last 3 hours transferring it into a crystal, where it can be stored safely. In a more simpler term, you now have your very own little power bank for magic which you could use whenever you run out of magic - which you doubt the need will ever occur.
Looking at your now fully bandaged hand, you frowned. "First day of school and already I'm injured... can't help but think this is some sort of bad omen..."
The nurse said that it will take at least a week for your hand to fully heal. They couldn't use magic or potions to fix it because your hand is already full of magical power, and if they did, there were only two outcomes; one, your hand will explode, making you disabled, and 2, you will suffer from a 5th-degree burn and no matter what spell you cast to heal it, it will not work. Yay.
The safest option for you was to suffer for a couple of days. And it's not like you're ambidextrous, so that means; no more casting spells, not being able to hold any utensils, and of course, the inability to write and take notes, (This isn't necessarily a bad thing but the first two definitely was.) but the most crucial thing was not going near/touching any magically charged items/relics.
Letting out yet another sigh, you caught something flashing in the corner of your eye. You turned to the window before your eyes widened in awe, you let out a small "wow..." as you watch the hundreds and thousands of golden butterflies fly above the school.
"Huh... never thought that I would live to see a bunch of mini naked butterfly ladies... welp, I guess that's a fantasy world for ya." You said blankly, "I think those are called pedo-phil something Philadelphia? Ugh, whatever, I'll probably remember it later."
When you continue your walk, you suddenly feel a pair of hands wrap around your torso. You froze from the sudden contact but calmed down when you smell the familiar rosy lavender scent. "Diana?"
She didn't respond.
You loosened the grip around your torso and turned to face her, still keeping her hands around you. Copping her face, you leaned down a bit to take a better look at her face. Though she kept avoiding eye contact.
"Something wrong?" Still no response.
"If you're worried about my hand then it's fine. The nurse said I'll be in full health in a week or so." No response. "... hey... you alright?"
The silence began to worry you, but before you could say or do anything, she buried her face in your chest and tightened her hold around you. And in a quivering muffled voice, she spoke, "I've... hurt someone... again..."
You let out a sigh and gently patted her head, "Come on, let's continue this in my room before someone sees us, okay?" She merely nodded and held your hand before letting you take the lead.
With your fingers interlocked, the two of you made your way to your dorm, hoping that you don't get sidetracked again.
While walking, you stole a quick glance at the girl beside you. She held her head low and let her bangs shadow over her eyes. 'She looks like a kicked puppy...' Whatever happened, she sure feels awful about it.
...
You finally made it to your room and let the gloomy girl in. Locking the door, you turn around to see her sitting on the couch. Sitting down next to her, you held her hand, rubbing small circles on the back of her hand. "Can you tell me what happened?"
Taking a deep breath, Diana answered, "It was my fault, I should have listened to her. I thought I was doing the right thing but... it's my fault." Tears began to well up in her eyes as she continued, "I hit Kag-Akko with a spell, I hurt her... real bad..."
You held her face up and kissed her on her closed eyelid, "Don't be too hard on yourself, she along with everyone else who was there understands it was an accident." You then brought her into a hug, letting her cry in the crook of your neck.
You know this is not really about Akko. Ever since the accident that led to Bernadette's death, Diana's been blaming herself for it. So whenever she hurts someone either on accident or on purpose, she gets like this. 'So small... so fragile... '
"It wasn't your fault Diana, it was just an accident. Don't blame yourself."
The two of you just sat there in each other's arms.
About half an hour, you began to worry. She hasn't moved or made a noise. So you gently nudged her off and saw that she had fallen asleep.
With an amused huff, you picked her up and laid her down on your bed. Tucking a stray hair behind her ear, you left a kiss on her head before lying down next to her.

Her eyes fluttered open as she woke up.
Diana sat up as she scanned her surroundings. Her brows furrowed when she realized that she was in bed, 'I don't remember going to bed... '
When she tried to stand up, she felt something wrap around her waist, preventing her from getting up. She looked to her side and froze. She could feel her heart racing as heat rushed to her face.
There you were, the culprit of her panic, peacefully sleeping next to her.
You had the most peaceful expression as your chest gently rose up and down. Your hair was a mess yet you still maintained that mature and beautiful look. Your lips were slightly parted as they looked as perfect as ever. So soft, so warm, so perfect, so kissable.
She shook her head at the last thought as she blushed furiously. But she couldn't help but look.
The next thing she knew, she was getting closer. Her body was on autopilot as she got closer and closer. She tried to resist yet she couldn't.
When her lips were only inches away from yours, she shut her eyes close. 'To hell with it!' and slammed it against yours. Her lips began to gently move against yours as you started to wake up.
Once you did, your eyes widened a bit when you saw Diana kissing you.
The kiss was gentle and soft.
You let her lead the kiss as you brought your hand up to stroke her cheek. Her eyes snapped open as she quickly pushed herself off of you.
Her face was beet red, her hair messy and her breathing shallow and quick. You let out a giggle before cupping her face with your hand, "If you wanted a kiss, you could've just asked. Consent is important ya know."
"Yes, N-no, I y-you, but-" she became a stuttering mess as she desperately tried to look for an excuse.
You just giggled and left to start your morning routine.
"Pappiliodya, that's what they're called, now I remember."
