The Promise//Chapter 5

Watching the giant ass squid curiously, Faythe's head perked up seeing the man walk out the little nice house.

"ITS A FLOWER!" Sanji shouted as he saw the solute of the man.

"A flower?!" Zoro said attentively

"Is a flower tasty?" Faythe asked as she stared at the squid being dragged away.

"Tasty? Faythe are you okay?" Usopp asked worriedly as he saw the said girl start to drool.

The man walked out, his frame was on the bulky side, his head crowned with petals, that looked like the flower Sanji mentioned earlier. His glasses just sitting on his nose, while his face adorned the most deepest frown Faythe had ever seen.

"Wait, No! Its a person." Sanji said slowly, almost looked like he relaxed.

"What's with him..." Ussop glanced at the man cautiously.

"That old man took out that squid with one blow!"

"...Was he just fishing or did he do that to save us?"

Nobody answered the questioned, leaving everyone to gulp. Leaving the question in the air.

Faythe tilted her head confused, as she watched the flower man and Sanji have a glaring contest. It looked like they were trying to kill each other with just glares. This lasted for about 5 minutes.

"SAY SOMETHING!!" Sanji yelled, already feed up with the flower man. The man didn't say anything and sat down in a chair, flipping through a newspaper.

"I-i-if It's a fight you want, t-then you've got one!" Usopp threatened loudly, Faythe glanced back at him and could see the visible shaking in his legs, "We have a cannon on our side!"

"Do you think he can deflect the cannon?" Faythe muttered to herself in thought.

The old man's glare only got more intense as he stared silently, "Don't, or someone might end up dead..."

"Oh? And just wo would that be...?" Sanji smirked, like he was being challenged.

"Me." The flower man replied blankly. That ne word earned a small snort from Faythe from behind the group. She muffled her giggles with her feathers hiding her face.

"YOU!?" Sanji burst out angrily, almost looking like we wanted to take a giant punch out of the man.

"Now, now, don't get so worked up. Hey old man. Would you mind telling us who you are, and just where this place exactly is?" Zoro shoved Sanji out of the way earning him a grumble of a mutter under his breathe, "That Gramps thinks he can make a fool out of me...?!"

"........... Its common courtesy to introduce yourself before asking others questions, you know?" The flower man still glared intensely. The parrot pirate wondered if that was why he had such a deep frown.

"Oh right... Sorry about that." Zoro started but was interrupted by none other than the flower man.

"My name is Crocus, the Lighthouse Keeper of the Twin Capes. I'm 71 years old, a Gemini, and my blood type is AB."

"NOBODY MINDS IF I KILL HIM RIGHT!?" Zoro now lost his patience, he was slowly unsheathing his swords.

"Calm down." Sanji patted his angry friend.

"Oh hey. My name is Faythe-Marie, member of the straw hat crew. I'm 17 years old, a Taurus, and I have no clue what a blood type is." Faythe bowed her head in greetings to the man. Thinking it was only fair she introduced herself the same way he did. Manners were an important thing Dr. Hui tried to teach me.

"Idiot, don't introduce yourself too!" Nami shouted in utter confusion at what was happening.

"Ah, a person with manners. You're wondering where this place is? You first trespass in my private resort and then start mouthing off with that attitude?!" He huffed, "Does this place look like the stomach of a mouse!?"
