"Anyway, that is enough of my problems. What're we going to do?" I asked. "Xbox." He said to me as he pulled out a couple of controllers. "Reckon you could beat me at racing?" He asked. "Yes." I said back confidently. "Good." He replied with an evil grin on his face. He was obviously up to something. He turned on the consol and the controllers and messed around with them for a bit changing the cars and the gears. He passed me my controller and said "I will give you a head start. You will need it" I raised an eyebrow. "No I won't." I said back with pride in my voice. "Yes you will. Ready?" I nodded. The race began and my wheels spun. The car was slipping and sliding all over the road. "Dude!" I yelled out. "What the hell." He was now laying on his bed laughing. The controlling was shit as were the tires. "What is this car even good for? Burnouts?" I asked. "That is exactly what it is for." He said still laughing. "You are an ass." I said to him throwing my controller down in frustration. "Come on Sky, had to mess with you a little." He said as he started tickling my sides.
"Stop Tye!" I yelled. "It hurts." I couldn't stop laughing and then bam, my retarded laugh came out. It sounded like a mix between the Mad Hatter and Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland. Tye instantly let go of me and I covered my mouth embarrassed. "What was that?" He asked astonished. "My stupid laugh." I said back to him. "Don't judge me, I know it is awful I hate it." "It's hilarious, but I like it." I smiled and he pulled me into a hug. "Oh, I have to get out of my suit." He said as he stood up and walked to his cupboard. He grabbed a white T-shirt and pair of black shorts. "I shall return." He said to me. "Alright." I said as I grabbed one of his hats and put it on my head. I pulled my phone out and went into my camera and took a selfie. Tye came back in and said "Really." "Yeah, come here." He came over to me and I took a couple of photos with him before he picked the controllers up again. I locked my phone and grabbed the other controller. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing video games until about five o'clock when he took me home.
We got to the front of my house and walked me too the door. "Thank you for taking me out to lunch and to your place today Tye. It actually means a lot to me. You and Kaili seem to be the only ones I have." I said as I reached up to hug him. He hugged back, wrapping his arms around my lower back as he said quietly. "Its fine Skylar. I don't know what it's like to lose a parent but I know what it is like to have no one and I want to be here for you to help you through anything and everything." I smiled and turned around to open the door. "I'll talk to you later maybe." I said before opening it and disappearing behind the wood. I leant up against the door and sighed while smiling. "Tye." I whispered to myself. "You are too nice for your own good, and you are going to regret it, I will only hurt you." I stood up straight and hurried off to my room.
I walked over to my stereo and plugged my phone into the AUX cord and put on my Maroon 5 playlist and went to my laptop. I opened it and spent the rest of the evening on social media until dinner was ready. I walked down stairs and into the dining room and took my seat. My mother placed a bowl of Satay Chicken and rice in front of my sister and I then went to get a bowl for herself before sitting down. There was silence until she spoke up. "So, Tye aye?" She asked with a grin on her face. "What about him?" I asked back politely. "You two are rather close, a little too close." She said. "Your point mum?" "Are you two like, a thing, like an item?" She asked quickly. "No! We are only friends!" I said back with my voice slightly raised before putting another fork full of chicken in my mouth. "He likes you Skylar." She then said. "No he doesn't mum." "Yes he does. It isn't at all hard to tell. I was watching his attitude today and when he stayed over, you could see it in his eyes, plus it was obvious he was trying not to hold your hand." My facial expression changed as she said that. "What do you mean?" I asked.
"His hand was twitching while it hung next to yours. You could so tell he wanted to grab it, but he is too polite and is a gentleman." Her tone of voice changed. "By the way Skylar, I hope he wasn't sleeping in your bed last night." I opened my mouth and shut it again before saying "He slept on the floor." "She's lying!" Ellie called out. "Shut up you little turd!" I snarled at her. "You two better not have gotten up to anything Sky! You know the rules!" I turned my head to death stare Ellie before saying "Mum, I can make my own decisions with what I do, besides, nothing happened. We only slept next to each other. That was it." "It would better be girl." "Geez mum, have a little trust in me." "How can I when you just lied about where he slept?" I was starting to get pissed off now. "I wouldn't have to lie about it if you didn't react like this. It happens every time I have a friend that is a guy and every time I have a guy stay over." "You are getting older now Sky, teenagers get up to things." I stood up. "I'm not like every other teenager for fucks sake mum! Stop acting like I am an immature child who doesn't know how to make decisions or how to handle the consequences from them!" "Sit down Skylar." She said calmly. "No!" I screamed back. "Sit down!" She then repeated yelling. "No mum! I don't want to be around you! Thanks a lot Ellie!" I then hissed at her before storming off to my bedroom and slamming the door behind me.
