The next morning I woke up to the sound of my cousin snoring. "Camilla." I whispered. She groaned and rolled over. I grabbed my phone. It was nine o'clock. I got up and went to the bathroom. No one else was in the house. I grabbed the cartoon of orange juice and poured myself a glass before going back to bed. I slept for another hour before Camilla woke me up by jumping over me to get up. "Dude." I said. "I'm sorry Sky, I had to get up." She said back, truthfully. She left the room and I waited a minute before following. I sat on the lounge chair and waited for her to reappear. When she did she threw herself onto the couch flinging her legs over the back of it. "So, what do you want to do today?" She asked me."Whatever." I said. "Do you want to go to Grandy?" "Why not?" I replied, enthusiastically. I got up and had a shower before getting dressed. I put on my yellow flower jumpsuit and had my wavy brown hair flowing down my back. I put some light makeup on and walked out of the bathroom and to the bedroom to grab my handbag.

Camilla was sitting on her bed looking at my phone. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Tye messaged you. Who's he? Your boyfriend?" "Uh, no, my best friend." "So you are single?" She asked suspiciously. "Yes." I replied. "Brilliant." "Why?" "There is someone I'd like you to meet." "Oh?" I asked surprised. "What is his name?" "Bailey." She said back confidently. "Here look." She then unlocked her phone and showed me a picture of herself and a young boy. Compared to Camilla he looked a bit like a giant. "Is he really that tall?" I asked. "Unfortunately, the only bad thing about it is the fact he is a difficult one to hug." I grabbed her phone and examined the picture. He had shaggy dirty blonde hair; it was only a little longer than Tye's. He wore a black beanie and a pair of black skinny jeans and a white baseball Tee with blue shoulders. "He's cute." I said to Camilla with a little smile. "I know." She replied. "How old is he?" I asked. "Our age. I want you to talk to him. I think you two would get along really well, he is super nice and has an amazing personality. Give me your phone." I did as she asked and she added his number. "Text him." She said. "Why?" "Don't ask questions. Trust me."

I went into messages and opened a new message. "Hey Bailey, I'm Skylar, Camilla's cousin, she told me to message you." I then hit send. "See, it isn't that hard." She said. He didn't reply so we headed to town. During the drive we decided on a movie to watch. I parked the car and we headed into the cinema when my phone buzzed. "It's Bailey." I said shocked that he replied. "What did he say?" She asked impatient. "Just asked how I was." "Oh." She said sounding disappointed. We went in and bought movie tickets and I put my phone on silent although I continued to text Bailey. It felt like we were getting along extremely well and I had never met the kid. After the movie I shouted us boosts’ and we headed home. The rest of the afternoon was boring, as was the majority of my stay at Camilla's. It was great to be able to spend some time with her since I hadn't seen her in ages. I really had missed her company but there wasn't much left to do. I spent the majority of my time messaging Bailey and Tye and as much as I loved talking to Bailey there was something about Tye, something about him that the more I spoke to him, the less I liked it.

It was time for me to go back to the Coast so I messaged Tye letting him know and asked if he wanted to come over tomorrow. I packed my stuff and chucked it into boot of my Swift and walked over to hug Camilla. "I'll see you real soon, okay?" She said trying not to cry. "I love you." I said. "I love you to." I then broke the hug and got into the car. I started the engine and drove up the drive way and out of her gates. I stopped at the gate and beeped the horn and waved just before I turned the corner and got onto the road. It was a long drive home but when I got home the only thing I wanted to do was to see Tye, but to my disappointment he was working so I couldn't see him. I unpacked my bags and threw my washing into the laundry before going and hugging Ellie. I then walked to my bedroom and laid down before receiving a phone call. To my surprise, of all people it was Bailey.

"Hello?" I said. "Hey, how are you?" Bailey said back confidently. "I'm alright, I just got home." "Oh, I can go." "No, I have no one else to talk to." I said back quickly. I was on the phone with Bailey for about an hour. We seemed to get on really well. We had a lot in common and managed to make each other laugh. After talking for about half an hour we ended the phone call and I went to charge my phone. There were only a few days left before school started up again, so I thought it would be worth spending it with Ellie. I was sitting on the couch eating cheese and crackers when Ellie bounced up next to me. “Skylar.” She said extending it. “What?” I replied grumpily. “Can you maybe take Jenna and me to the beach tomorrow?” She asked cautiously. Jenna was Ellie’s best friend, they did everything together. I paused for a moment thinking about whether I could actually afford the fuel to get into Noosa. “Tomorrow?” I asked. “Yeah.” “Hmm, I guess I don’t see why not, but I don’t want to be hanging around all day Ellie, have you asked Jenna and her mum?” Ellie then paused for a moment. “You haven’t, have you?” I asked. She shook her head. “Go get mum to ring, and then we will discuss this.”

I pulled my phone out and messaged Kaili. “You up for a beach trip to Noosa tomorrow dude?” Kaili replied almost instantly with, “I can’t. Ryan is taking me to the movies, I’m sorry.” I sighed before sending another message saying, “It’s alright, and have fun.” I then locked my phone and put it on the coffee table before getting up and taking my empty plate to the kitchen. Ellie was sitting at the dining table leaning on it wrinkling the table cloth that was over it. “Ellie, fix the cloth on the table.” I said as my OCD started acting up. As I washed my plate up I watched as Ellie gazed at our mother while she spoke on the phone to who I was assuming Jenna’s mother. When she hung up the phone I walked over and looked at her waiting for an answer with as much interest as Ellie did. “She can go, but Jenna’s mum wants her home by two o’clock.” “Done.” I said. “I can do that because I don’t wanna be all day.”  “Okay.” Mum said back to me. Ellie then started jumping up and down screaming out ‘yay’. “Settle down El.” Mum said. I turned around and went up to my bedroom to find my swimmers; I might as well swim if I’m going to drive out to the beach because it wasn’t something I did often.
