Birthday Girl

Y/N POV

Today was the day that all men dread. Their wives birthday. Yoko was turning 25 today and I was not ready. I worked overtime all week and didn't even buy her a gift yet. Luckily, she had to work and I got the day off so I had time to put something together.

"Morning babe" I say as I nudge Yoko awake

"Mmm" she grunts not wanting to wake up

"Wake up birthday girl" I say caressing her cheek

She begrudgingly opens her eyes and sits up. She looks at me with half lidded eyes and very messy hair. A typical morning

"Happy Birthday baby girl~" I say pulling her into arms

"Awww you remembered" Yoko says cheerfully

"You thought I'd forget my dear wife's birthday" I say, "You think lowly of me"

"I just thought you'd be too preoccupied with work to remember" she explains sheepishly, "Anyway imma hop in the shower and get ready for work"

I head downstairs to make her breakfast while she gets dressed. She comes down in her teachers outfit that never failed to turn me on

"Like what ya see?" Yoko asks, catching me staring at her with a light blush.

"Very much so" I respond wrapping her in a hug and giving her a deep and passionate kiss.

While we continue to make out, I decide to grab and squeeze her ass

"Hmmm someone's excited" Yoko teases, "Keep that up, and you might get some more tonight~"

"I like the sound of that" I respond, "Anyway, you should eat before you go to work"

We eat breakfast together before cleaning up.

"Well i should get going" Yoko says giving me a kiss, "Try not to burn the house down while I'm gone"

As Yoko leaves,  I decided to set up a little get together tonight with Kittan and Vanessa. Nothing too big but with our closest friends. Next step was setting it up and buying her a gift.

I go to the store to buy stuff for dinner and snacks for tonight. The hard part was getting her a gift. She had a lot of interests but none of em really stuck out as something spectacular. Then it hit me

Yoko POV

Today was a long and tiring day. At this point all I wanted to do was go home and spend some time with my husband. This wasn't what happened though. Some thing better did.

I opened the door to my house and set my bag down only to be swept off my feet by Y/N who picked me up bridal style

"Welcome home babe" he says

He carried me upstairs as I start to change

"I invited Kittan and Vanessa over for a little celebration tonight" he says, "I knew you'd be tired after work so I didn't invite a lot of people"

"Awww thank you" I say

A couple hours later, our friends show up and we start hanging out and talking

"How's retired life" Kittan asks

"It's good. Slow. But good" I say

"You get a job" He asks

"Yeah, down at the pier. I move the fish to the market to be sold" I respond, "It's a decent living"

"You should just retire and live off of that" Kittan says, "You're a hero of humanity. The rest of your life is paid for in full"
