"Leuca's pov
I hated to leave Riley back there to find this witch who had caused quite some trouble for me. Rasha was her name and from the looks of it, she was quite powerful as well. Why would a witch side with humans to this extent? It's a mystery to me.
I asked humans along the way where this witch could be, of course, they couldn't refuse my absolute command so it took me a little but I managed to catch a witchy scent. She was running. But she couldn't outrun a vampire. I also had lost Wyatt somewhere along the way.
I was in the middle of the streets when I also saw a figure running the other way. Like a colony of ants, the humans were running around in panic but this figure knew where she was going.
"I spy with my little eye..." I smirked.
I caught up to her and pulled the scarf she had surrounding her off her. She has placed magic on it as well because as soon as I pulled it off, her scent was even stronger. "You managed to smell me after all? You are quite skilled I must admit." Her voice was luscious and even though she was running, she didn't seem scared of me.
"Witches have a particular smell, after all, you are always so busy with herbs and shit like that." I shrugged, wasn't that big of a deal.
She laughed and applauded me again, "My job here is done, I don't want to fight you."
"Oh really now? I'm sorry I'll just be on my way after all the fucking trouble you have caused me." I rushed towards her and dodged her magic attack.
It looked like metal needles were shot from her fingertips and I'm amazed she managed to cast a spell that quickly. I thought I had dodged it but she had sent more than I thought and hit my shoulder.
She thought she had me but I pushed through and swiped at her. She cast another spell so spikes shot from the ground and captured my arm. I could easily tug it loose though. Her magic affliction was metal, which was quite special.
But even metal couldn't pin me down. I kicked and managed to hit her straight into the gut, sending her flying meters back. She tumbled on the ground and, because of the impact of my strength, kept on tumbling until she lay in the middle of the pathway around 20 meters away from me.
And here I thought I held back... She isn't dead, right? I saw her move and heard her heart still beating, so no she wasn't dead yet. She was coughing up blood and already tried healing herself. "Healing spells cost time." I now stood in front of her and kicked her again. "I had the luxury to fight the strongest witch that history has ever known, Althea. I thought you were much better than this! You can't even compare to a hair of hers."
I expected more and thought this was even a bit boring.
Some human hunters joined her.
They attacked with silly weapons and thought they could do something to stop me but I easily threw them off. "Seriously if you don't want to die, then just stop." I flashed my eyes at them and it was at this time that Wyatt arrived. "Took you a while."
Wyatt was angry at me and told me about the humans attacking him and then he lost sight of me, he followed my trail but couldn't quite catch up right away. "But it appears that you didn't need my help after all." He said as he pointed to Rasha who could barely get up.
I hummed, "I thought she was much stronger than this."
Wyatt also hummed, "Maybe she has used a lot of magic? We did come uninvited after all." We discussed possible possibilities and watched her struggle to heal herself.
We let her.
At least let us have some fucking fun.
And then suddenly a black smog arrived and entered her through her mouth. She wheezed as it entered her. "That is disgusting, the fuck was that?" Wyatt complained and hid behind me, he was just joking of course. He did make me chuckle.
