It was weird, the ride home I mean. My sisters remained quiet and it even felt slightly awkward.
When we arrived at the gates my sister Willow huffed softly, "No wonder you didn't return." She was taken aback by the sheer size of the mansion and its grounds.
I raised my eyebrows at her tone, "wow, puberty suits you." I grabbed her hand, "don't think a day passed by that I didn't think of you all." I nodded towards the door and then told them it was okay to go outside.
Leuca already arrived as well with my mother and the youngest. The nobles gathered to welcome him of course but all I saw was my son running out of the door towards me.
My arms opened and I enveloped him in a tight hug. "I'm okay." I rocked him softly and muttered those words over and over again.
"I missed you."
I will never miss, coming home to my loving son. "Riley!" Behind him stood Rayna also wanting into the hug.
I hugged her also, "Hello bonus child." I joked.
While Leuca was informing his nobles of the events, I dragged my kids towards my mother. Though she was already beaming as I dragged them to her. "I didn't know you had twins also!"
I laughed out loud, "Rayna is a witch, technically she isn't my daughter but I'm taking care of her. She's a bonus child." I winked at her and asked her to introduce herself.
After she had done so I pushed Damian forward, "Hi... I'm Damian..." He seemed hesitant and suddenly so shy. I could hear Leuca groan behind me. Yet again, his mighty son hasn't grown actual balls.
"Oh how lovely to meet you, you have the eyes of a Hayes." My mother extended her hand for him to take which he did, "and you do not look four years old which tells me you probably did get the vamp genes." She chuckled.
I felt hands fall upon my shoulder, "let's get your mother and your siblings all cleaned up and fed so we can discuss what to do next." Leuca interrupted.
"You need a shower too." Damian spat back before he turned to his grandmother. "So what do I call you? Grandma or..."
My mother laughed, "Oh my, grandma makes me sound so old... My name is Annabelle so Anna is usual but whatever you want to call me is fine." She paused, "Grandma does sound amazing doesn't it?"
Everyone was guided inside and they gasped around fifty times I estimated. They were overwhelmed by everything surrounding them. I asked Leuca not to have slaves aid them because it would just confuse my family. So I guided them to the guest rooms. They were used to sleeping in one bed together so I just paired them in one room for now.
I did have Damian and Rayna drag a few mattresses over to this room. I showed them all how the shower worked. "Warm water just comes out of there unlimited?" Dani asked.
"Yep."
While Damian was handing out fresh clothes and towels, Ruth spoke up. "So if you are my nephew how come you have fangs?"
"Well, my father is a vampire."
I saw Willow glaring at Damian which ticked me off a little. "Whatever he put in your head, get it out. Not all vampires are the monsters we were taught they were." I warned her.
My mother was the kind woman she was offered to help out, she didn't mind doing any kind of work for her stay. "Really Mom, it is okay. Just rest assured. Get them all cleaned up and I'll show you the dining hall okay? We can eat anything we want there."
"Anything?" Theo asked.
"Anything."
Damian and Rayna went off wherever to play so I went to Leuca's room to take a shower. As I walked into his bedroom I heard the shower running. I didn't hesitate to open the door and get in, "oh my how bold you have gotten." Leuca stood in all his naked glory under the shower, eyeing me up and down.
