"When is he coming back, Christina?" I asked her desperately. It had been a week already and Leuca still wasn't back.

I understand the news shocked him and he was angry but he was gone for a week already! He didn't pick up the phone when I called and he didn't reply to any of my messages.

He left while I was tied up to the bed and I found out through my mother that he slapped Damian! If it wasn't for her intervention then he would have hit him around.

I was very proud she even dared to do that. Everyone else was just standing by and watching it happen. If I was there I would have slapped Leuca around, he dared to hit my son like that. Leuca even had the nerves to demand I choose a suitable punishment for my kids, it made me huff just thinking about it.

Yes, it was wrong to do this behind our back but their intentions were good. They knew how much this meant to me and how much it pained me when I couldn't have another child. They just wanted to help.

"I don't know when he is coming back Riley, you can't blame him for being shocked by this news."

I raised my eyebrows and threw a pillow at her. "It is just a pregnancy!"

"No, at least you can semi protect yourself now but you can't when you're heavily pregnant. And don't mention a child who would be more human-like than Damian. It won't stand a chance in our society." She groaned, "you don't understand our traditions."

"No, clearly I don't. I would never walk out on him!" I felt so angry that he just left to do whatever. I don't even want to begin to think what he was doing but I couldn't help but speculate.

Christina said down next to me and grabbed my hands, "Riley please, he... He's afraid, even though he is strong... He also has his limits." She whispered it softly.

And wow, that must hurt for her to admit. "I'm not going to terminate it," I told her, just the thought of it pained me. "I-I can't..." Tears threatened to fall.

"Hey, I didn't mean it like that. Of course, you aren't. And don't think Leuca will let you, he is a family man in the end." She added a wink to try and another thought but I have seen him that day and he was ready to tear this baby out himself.

It made me cry even more, why did he think I was a liability? Christina softly pulled me into her shoulder and I let her.

After a few minutes, a knock on the door interrupted is and Damian's head popped into the room. "You okay mom?" He asked softly.

I hummed and asked Christina to leave us. "I'm in front of the door should you need-"

"I'll be fine, just go..."

She shook her head, "you are pregnant, I can't let anyone hurt you." She replied adamantly.

It made me sigh and dismiss her again. Damian rushed to me and hugged me as well. "I'm okay."

He shook his head, "this is all my fault... I didn't know."

I kissed the top of his head, "it'll be okay, he'll come back soon." I reassure him, it was his father after all. Damian grew attached to his father quickly.

A loud thud got our attention, it was just in front of my door which wasn't good. Was Leuca back?

The door to his room was kicked in and it wasn't Leuca. "Dean? Aziz?" Where was Christina? I didnt like the look in their eyes.

Damian flashed his eyes at them and he even hissed. And here everyone is calling him too human, that was vampire behavior. But this doesn't seem like they were here to have a friendly chat, "what are you two doing here?" I asked warily.
