I held clothes up to my body before groaning. Flopped on my bed and Mason came over, poking my nose. I smiled up at him. "Just wear something that makes you look good! I know you have jeans that make your ass pop," Vicky shouted over my phone. I heard Mia slap him and chuckled before taking my phone off the nightstand, where I had propped it up. Mia pushed Vicky away before looking at me through the phone.
"I'm sure they'll like you in anything you wear. Dress like you normally would if you were going out with us. Don't stress yourself out about this," she told me. Vicky was in the background shouting some incomprehensible nonsense which had Mia shoot him a glare. "We have to get going but try wearing some darker colors. Darker colors seem to match you best. We'll be waiting for you and Mason." There was some banging in the house before she quickly said goodbye, ending the call before I could respond. I looked at Mason who held his wolf plushy close to him.
I got back up, digging through my closet. I don't know why I was freaking out so bad. My stomach was butterflies as I started pulling out different types of dark shirts. I didn't even know how I had this much clothes. I was tossing shirts onto the bed as I continued searching. "Dis one," Mason shouted. I chuckled as I looked at him. He had climbed into the pile of clothes I had thrown all over the bed. He had managed to throw some of the clothes onto himself. He held up this navy blue sweater to me. "Wear dis one!" I walked over to him and took it out of his hands. It was a basic long sleeve shirt. The only thing was, it was bigger than I normally wear. I had no doubt that this was one of the shirts I wore when I was pregnant. I started telling Mason that this wasn't the shirt, but he was staring at me with the biggest puppy dog eyes I had ever seen and a hopeful smile on his face. I caved into him and decided to put it on. The arms fit perfectly but it wore like a dress on me. I walked over to my nightstand and pulled out a rubber band I had brought home one day. I bunched up some of the shirt, tying the band around it before tucking it under my shirt.
I looked in the mirror. It was basic, but still looked nice. I pulled out a pair of jeans, holding them out to me and nodded. "That actually looks good. Thank you, baby," I told Mason. He smiled before a big yawn escaped from him. I felt bad. He hadn't been sleeping well. Mason would wake up crying because of nightmares he was having. He has been sleeping in my bed with me cause he was so afraid to be left alone in his room. I talked to the pack doctor and they're thinking about therapy for him and possibly me. Our appointment is later this week. I quickly finished getting dressed before putting everything I had thrown around away. I put a jacket on Mason before grabbing my own and heading to the car. The drive to Vicky's and Mia's house as a short one, but Mason had fought his sleep the whole drive over there. When I went to pull him out the car, he was rubbing his eyes. He looked at me with sleepy eyes. "Mommy is leaving you here with Mia and Vicky. It'll only be for a couple of hours, okay?" He nodded, probably only paying half attention to me. I pulled him out the car and he wrapped his arms around my neck before laying his head on my shoulder.
I walked to the front door and knocked. Vicky opened the door and I was taken back by him having white powder all over him. He matched my confused gaze before looking down at himself and laughing. "We're making homemade cookies and Remi spilt the flour," he explained. I set Mason down on the ground and he swayed a bit. "Awe, is little man sleepy?" He held his fist out for Mason to bump but Mason just clung to my leg. Vicky stood up, moving out of the way so we could walk inside. "How's he doing?"
I sighed rubbing my hand on his head. "He still has those nightmares. I feel bad cause I can't do anything for them," I admitted. I lead Mason to the livingroom and helped him climb up on the couch. He held Lovey close to him as he sat there looking around. I kissed his head before holding onto his knees. "Try to get some sleep okay? Uncle Vicky will protect you from the bad people, okay?" Mason looked at Vicky for a moment before laying don on the couch. "I love you." Mason muttered back his response. I walked back to the front door and Vicky followed me. "If he has a nightmare he's going to ask you for the Llama movie. Its Emperor's New Grove. It's been his comfort movie. Do you need my disney info?"
