"I can do this by myself thank you," Oliver yelled as he slammed the bathroom door in my face. I sighed leaning against the doorframe, waiting for him to get out. "Go do some work or something! Just leave me alone!" Oliver was angry about how persistent Xavier and I were about his bedrest order, but we want the best for him and our pups!
"I'm good right here. Its just in case you need help," I responded back to him. I could hear his growl through the door. On one hand, him being angry was a major turn on, however, on the other I was at the end of his wrath at the moment and I wasn't sure if that was an entirely good thing. I heard the sink running and I opened the door, only to receive a glare from my mate. His stomach had gotten double the size it was just last month. Our shirts no longer covered him so now he is wearing store bought five times large shirts that just barely did the trick for him. Dr. Leo said that he could be popping any day now and I wasn't planning to miss anything. I went to go behind him and rub he stomach lovingly, but he slapped my hands harshly before pushing past me back into our room. He slowly sat back down on the bed and huffed. I moved to sit at his feet and picked up one foot. When he didn't yank it away, I started to give him a foot massage. "I know you hate being on bed rest but its for your own health."
He sighed, laying back down on the bed. "You guys act like I'm going to die if I go to the bathroom alone. I'm perfectly able to walk and take care of myself. I feel fine," he complained. I continued to rub his foot and he sighed. "I'm just not used to all... this." He gestured to everything around him. I switched to his other foot and looked at him confused. "I'm not used to all this attention. You guys treat me like I'm this antique glass when I'm not."
I looked up at him, spotting the tears in his eyes. I stopped rubbing his feet and moved towards him, placing my hand on his face. He looked up at me as I wiped the tears that started falling down his cheeks. "You are the most precious thing in our world. You're the most perfect being we have and I'll be damned if I ever let anything hurt you or our pups. Right now, you must be taken care of, but I promise when these pups come out, we will stop our babying," I told him. He nodded at me, not seeming fully satisfied by my words. I kissed his forehead lovingly, looking down at him. "Do you wanna call my Mom and see how Mason is doing?"
"No. He should be fine. He loves spending time with your mom and I don't want to interrupt," Oliver said, wiping his own eyes off and moving back more onto the bed. Mason was at my Mom's today. Since Oliver is on bedrest, Mason has been cooped up in the house so Mom decided to take him so his wolf could run free for a bit, which we all appreciated. I know his wolf was probably having a blast with all the rain outside. When Oliver winced a bit before rubbing his stomach, I looked at him with concern. "It's fine. They're just being rough with me is all."
I placed my hand on his stomach feeling a strong kick against my hand before a second slightly weaker kick hit me. Oliver seethed a bit at their actions. I leaned down and kissed his stomach. "You have to be nice to Mommy. You can kick all you want when you're born," I told them. The kicking seemed to calm down a bit which relaxed Oliver.
"You know," Oliver said making me look up at him. "You guys been so busy with Alpha stuff and building the nursery, that you haven't really talked to me about names." I laid my head down on his stomach and hummed. I really hadn't thought about the names for our kids. I wasn't really creative in that sort of sense. "Xavier told me one day that he liked the name Presley, but he was half asleep when he told me."
"Presley Paxon," I said softly, trying the name out for myself. "That's not a bad name. We can do Presley James for our son. Unless you want to do Presley Marie for our baby girl?" Presley was a good name that could be twisted for either baby. Damn Xavier was good at naming things. Then again, he always was. Even as kids he was naming our toys. He once named the bee plush my mom had Barnebee because he was clever while I nicknamed it sting because bee's sting people. His was the better name so we went with his instead of mine.
"What if we did Presley Serene? Name her after your mom," Oliver asked. I looked up at him with a smile, causing him to blush. "Your mom has always been there for me so I would like our daughter to have some part of her."
"I like that," I told him making him smile. I turned to his stomach. "Baby girl, kick if you like Presley Serene as your name." I'm not sure if it was her or if it was our son, but someone decided to kick my jaw really hard making Oliver and I chuckle. "I guess that one is decided."
Oliver and I played around with some boy names. We both agreed that we wanted something unique but we couldn't decide what sounded right. After a while, we decided it would be best to wait until Xavier got home to help decide a name. When my phone started ringing we were both laughing at my joke name for our son. "Mason, sweetheart lets go," My mom said from the other end of the phone. I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Hey, Zander, I was just calling to see if you or Oliver needed anything? Mason and I were just about to go do some more shopping for the little ones then be on our way back."
"OOO Can you get me some mint ice cream and Kit Kat bars," Oliver asked loudly, trying to take the phone. I couldn't help but chuckle as he struggled to sit back up from his sitting position. Mom reassured that she'd get him what he needs and yelled at me before hanging up.
Oliver and I sat there chuckling for a while before relaxing together. "I got it," I said aloud. Oliver looked up at me and I rubbed his stomach. "How about Sylas James?" Oliver seemed to think about it before nodding. I smiled before placing my hand on his stomach. "Sylas James and Presley Serene."
"They're perfect," Xavier said from the doorway, Mason trailing behind him with Mom and Dad. Mom smiled at us with some tears in her eyes as she set down some bags of baby clothes. Mason was quick to start pulling out the clothes he helped pick out while Oliver quickly dug into the sweets my mom brought. Desmond's been spotted with a pack of rogues, Xavier linked to me making me look over at him. He looked at me before smiling at the group in front of us. "Zander and I will be right back. I just need to talk to him for a second. Mom and Oliver nodded as Xavier and I walked outside into the hall. "Ray called. It seems that Desmond is trying to raise an army of rogues. His pack took care of half of it but he managed to get away."
I looked back at the room where our parents and mate laughed at Mason who was laying his head on Oliver's stomach. "We can both start leading on training the warriors. Vicky and Quincey can be in charge of watching Oliver during the mornings while we train them. Get them familiar with tracking. I want him dead if he even dares step foot in our pack," I told him, making him nod. I looked back at my family as they all looked happy. Oliver smiled at us through the doorway and I smiled back, vowing that I'd stop at nothing to protect them.
