Warning
Everything about him was intoxicating. The way his eyes turned to pools of honey in the light, the way his laugh filled any person who heard it with joy, the way he cared for people, all of it made me want him even more. The shocking tingles was engulfing me as I pulled Oliver closer to me, our lips pressed together. My tongue snaked its way out, licking at his bottom lip. His mouth parted just enough for my tongue to find its way into his warm cavern. Oliver moved to straddle me, a small moan escaping him. His arms wrapped around the back of my neck as he pulled me closer. When his nails dig into my shoulders, I could feel all the excitement going to my groin, but I didn't want to stop. I slid my hand down Oliver's sides as my eyes peeked at my mate, our mouths barely breaking contact. His eyes were closed but a pink tint was covering his face. Puffs of smoke surrounded us with every quick breath we exhaled. He looked absolutely marvelous. I pulled away from his mouth and started to kiss down his jaw to his throat, my hips slightly grinding into his own.
"Zander," he breathed out as I sucked on the spot where my mark would lay on him. "Zander, wa-" I didn't let him finish as I reconnected our lips, flipping us so his back was pressed into the snow. His hands lightly pressed on my shoulders. I let out a low moan as I grabbed his arms and held them above his head using one of my hands. His breath came out in shallow pants as he tried to pull out of the hold, wanting to touch me back. "Z-zander," he whispered as my other hand traveled down his trembling form, the anticipation capturing us both. My eyes inspected his rise as my hand found its way into his thigh. His tanned skin was so beautiful and smooth. He had a few scars here and there, but they did nothing to lessen his godly looks. He went to move his legs, so I pressed one on his legs up higher. "Stop!"
Warning end
My gaze snapped up to his as he screamed that one word. I looked at his face, and my heart broke at the sight of it. His eyes were squeezed shut, tears were streaming down his face. I looked at his body again seeing he wasn't hard. It was that moment that I realized he wasn't trembling in anticipation but in fear. I immediately let go of him and he looked at me, his eyes wide but the tears still flowed down his face. I went to apologize but before I managed to get a word out, he was scrambling to get up. "I-I'm sorry! I can't do this," he said before running into the woods. I quickly tried to follow him, abandoning our belongings at the clearing.
I was angry at myself. I should've realized how he was feeling about what we were doing. "Oliver," I called, chasing after him. He swerved around the trees, heading in the wrong direction of the house. I knew if he kept going, he might run into something dangerous. I pushed myself to run faster until I could reach him. I wrapped both of my arms around his waist and tried to hoist him up. He flailed around, his legs kicking as his hands tried to pull mine off of him. "Oliver! Calm down please! I'm sorry! Let's talk about it!"
His flailing slowly calmed down until he was just crying in my arms. I put him down and tried to comfort him, but he pushed me away. "I-I can't be around you right now. Please, just go away," he said weakly. It hurt hearing him say this. When I didn't move, he looked up at me, his eyes swirling with brown and blue. "Please just go."
"Tell me what happened, " I asked as calm as I could manage. He tried to get me to leave, making me a bit angry that my mate didn't trust me. We've been together for months. A thought popped in my head and I could feel Proi growling at me. Don't say it, he warned. "Do you just not want us? Are you just upset cause you have us as your mates?" Oliver turned towards me, trying to tell me he was so happy that Xavier and I were his mates. "Then why are you being so distant?!" He flinched at my rising voice, but made no effort to answer my question. "Xavier and I have been trying to hold ourselves back for you. We go at your pace to make sure you're comfortable, but you are making no sense to me! One minute your perfectly fine with moving in to be near us, but then you want your own room to distance yourself from us. You're fine making out with me one second then the next You're running into the woods!" Oliver looked down at his feet, some tears falling into the snow. I took a deep breath. "Is it cause you still want Mason's father?" Oliver's gaze snapped up at me, his face twisted in slight anger that I would even ask that. "Are you just using us to be here while you wait for him?" He immediately started telling me no, telling me that it was complicated. "You had sex with another guy and had his kid, Oliver! You had to of loved him!"
