Zander and I were scrambling to get ready. I was shoving Zander out of the way to do my hair and he was shoving me back so he could brush his teeth.  "Come on,  Zander, you don't need the mirror to brush your teeth," I yelled at him. He made indistinguishable noises as he pointed at the sink and I groaned as part of my hair kept trying to flip on front of my face.  I opened the mirror and pulled out some hair gel.  "Spit it in the toilet! Just stay out of the mirror!"

Today was our alpha commencement ceremony and we were trying to look our best. Alphas from other packs would be here to greet us and congratulate us. We had to make a good first impression on them, hence why Zander and I were dressed in black suits with blue button ups. The last thing we need is for them to terminate our treaty.

As soon as my hair was staying in place,  Zander shoved me out the way so he could finish brushing his teeth.  I rolled my eyes at him as he smiled up into the mirror. I pushed him out of the way and entered our room so I could put on my shoes. Zander came following in to do the same. "Do you think Oliver will claim his place as our Luna," Zander asked me.

Mom had gone to Oliver's to talk to him about the Luna title since he would change the topic on Xavier and I. It was his automatically since he was our mate,  but we weren't sure if he was ready to accept the position yet. The pack members would take their concerns for the pack to him and neither of us was sure he was ready for that responsibility. "I'm not sure," I told him honestly.  I stood up straight just as Zander did and we inspected each other. Zander brushed my shoulders as I straightened his tie, making sure to tuck the necklace he had gotten from Oliver inside his button up. "Oliver may not want to claim his title yet. We're not even sure how the pack will react to him. "

"The pack will love him, " Zander defended. He stepped back from me and looked around our new room.  Mom and Dad had officially moved everything out last week and had moved Zander and I into the master room while we were having dinner with Oliver the other day. The walls were bland but we could make it our own when Oliver is ready to move in with us.  "He already gets respect from a lot of the pack members so I'm sure they won't treat him any differently."

I looked at him.  "I'm more concerned about the older pack members," I admitted to him.  He gave me a confused look and I sighed. "I'm sure they'll be glad we have a mate and our bloodline can carry on into other generations, but they might not accept him as their Luna because of Mason." I hated to think this way, but it was an issue we had to be ready for. "I mean think about it.  You were ready to reject him be-"

"It was a stupid mistake and anyone who wants to reject him will have to go through me," Zander growled out with a harsh glare.  I sighed, shaking my head.  Zander didn't like being reminded that he tried rejecting Oliver. I brought it up once or twice after we starting seeing our mate and he would completely flip. I knew we all felt that pain in our chests when he started rejecting him, but Oliver hasn't brought it up,  and I know Zander's hoping Oliver never does.

My father's call from downstairs took both of our attention to the door.  Zander took a calm breath before looking at me.  When I nodded we both started heading downstairs.  When my dad looked at us, he smiled widely. The pride he held for us was evident in his eyes.

"Look at my boys," he said wrapping his arms around both of us.  He pulled us into a tight hug which made me worry about how it messed up my hair.  My dad looked at us both face to face. I could see the wrinkles staring to form around his eyes but he looked so happy.  "I always knew you guys were going to grow into fine men. Your mate is lucky to have such dashing Alphas." Dad started laughing and I just smiled at him.  Dad started walking us to the front door.  "You know,  you met your mate months ago and I have yet to see them.  You should bring him over for dinner. Your mother and I would love to dine with you and your mate."
