We drive on an open road, a small back road in L.A., I don't see a car for miles. I thought we were just going to Tender Greens. Oh god, who knows?

"Are you not getting sick writing in the car? What are you writing anyways?" I turn to him with a sly smirk.

"Well I need to write down my last words, since you took me to the middle of no where, you are probably going to kill me. I've known you what, a day now, can I even trust you?" I raise a brow.

"That didn't answer my question. But no, I'm not going to kill you" he laughs "I just wanted to go out and clear my head some, we will go to Tender Greens, but I jus- we can go now if you like." He replies with sadness in his voice.

"No Colby, I don't care at all, but if we are going on a drive to clear our mind we need some tunes!" I grab my phone and open Spotify. After I connect my phone to his aux, since his car is thirteen years old, the opening line of Ocean Drive by: Duke Dumont starts to play.

"How did you know? I LOVE THIS SONG!!!" Colby gets really excited, but I would've done the same, it excites me when people have the same music taste as me. Maybe he's the same way.

"I didn't, I just love this song too!" I scream over the music since he turned the music up to full volume. We both start to sing along

We're out of time on a highway to never.

Colby sings hold on and I echo him playfully.

I haven't felt this happy for a while. Even though I'm broke, and uncertain. I feel like I'm on top of the world, like nothing to stop me, like nothing can stop Us.

"Thank you." Colby turns to me, but his voice is barely over a whisper. Not to mention he's staring at me with those crystal blue eyes. You could get lost in them, I almost did.

"For what?" I ask.

"For being here, for staying last night, for playing that song, just everything. Thank you for being you. I barely know you, but you've made this the best day I've had in a while." That statement made me feel butterflies, like I'm in high school again, pinning after some over-rated band geek. (A/N If you know me, you know lmaoo)

I stare back at him, not really knowing what to say back. We just met, but singing with him, it made me feel like I've known him since the beginning of time.

"I'm glad I made your day Colbs, hopefully we'll have more like it, we both need it." I try to make it sound friendly, so he doesn't get the wrong idea.

"Oh yea!! There's gonna be a lot of days like this. I have a feeling we are going to get along quite well." His smile is so big you can see his tiny dimples as he replies, right before we finally arrive at Tender Greens.

"You still hungry?" I punch his shoulder jokingly as we head toward the restaurant.
