My America Headcannons

-He acts very childish and playful and like he doesn't have a care in the world, but that's all a facade. When he's behind the desk he's cold-hearted and serious, only looking at facts and truth, never cracking jokes. Only a few have seen him like that and they've never said anything because America has threatened them.

 -His eyes are black and that's because he has a mixed culture from almost every other country. In the black abyss of his eyes are small white flecks that look like stars in the night sky. When he cries it comes out almost like oil. He tends to hide them. Not because others bully him, but so he doesn't scare someone that doesn't know he has them.

-His original parents are unknown. Britain believes that it may be Native America and the Spanish Empire, but others disagree and believe that he was created by the continents themselves. (Yes the continents are their own entities in my AU. They're like gods or caretakers of the countries.) 

-Despite being cold heated behind the desk and childish around others, he's actually quite fragile. He takes criticism to heart and it often affects him greatly. 

-This man is extremely cultured. They literally cook a meal from every different cuisine every day. He was even taught multiple languages. (So don't try speaking in another language around him, he'll probably understand you) 

-He. Does. Not. Sleep. He drinks almost 15 cups of coffee a day, sometimes it's straight black coffee. Lots of the states and countries worry about him but he laughs it off and says he's fine. 

-He doesn't like people to worry about him. It makes him feel like a burden and like he's taking their attention away from something more important. 

-America goes by he/they pronouns. They started using they/them when they realized that their states were females, males, and all over the non-binary spectrum so he decided to take that into account and change his pronoun usage.

-America is a bit on the chubby side but that just makes him an even more huggable father figure for the states or any other countries/territories he has in his possession (Im looking at you Puerto Rico). However, he does tend to try to hide his body fat, usually wearing large hoodies everywhere which adds to his "unprofessional" appearance that most countries see him as.

-America sees it as his job to look after everyone. Yes, that's right, he sees it as his job to make sure every country is kept in line and safe, and if there is something happening he will usually get involved and neglect his own health while doing so. (This in fact is based on true facts. the USA basically polices the entire world and usually gets involved with other countries instead of taking care of their own people.)

-His views on politics or literally anything can change in a snap. This is because of how split apart his people have gotten and all their conflicting viewpoints. The states have described it as though there was someone else in charge of his mind and he couldn't control himself.

-America is extremely friendly as long as you don't threaten someone (especially him) with any form of war. If you stay on his good side he's the kindest and most bubbly person out there.

-Fluffy hair fluffy hair :D

-After things settle down after a war, he will tend to try to help or make it up to whoever he was fighting (as long as they weren't completely messed up people *cough* Third Reich *cough*). He helped Germany after Third was gone, he helped Japan after JE was gone,  he helped lots of countries that were forced under USSRs control when USSR was gone, etc.
