Run...

Zhang has incomparable stamina, he got speed just like a cheetah. It is something he cultivated from the moment he stood up on his two little feet. So this much distance is nothing for him. He will be able to cover 3-4 hours walk on time. So let him run. Let's talk about the other one.

Wuxie. Zhang's childhood friend. His hiking companion, inseparable souls. Both were dreamers, ambitious. They were sure about their careers from a very young age and fully determined to pursue them. The understanding and maturity they had were always been a surprise for the elders. At 15 Wuxie had to go abroad to study and Zhang decided to stay back. After some years they lost touch for some reason.
Now wuxie is a first-class supervisor in the Anti-narcotics squad. Unlike Zhang, wuxie had to go through a lot to achieve his dream.

Zhang could see the car stopped next to the wind wheel. He is already here. Zhang was running no stop. He didn't want to make Wuxie wait for him but at some point, it was the excitement of seeing wuxie that made him never stop. Zhang stopped right in front of the car. Wuxie was standing there with his arms crossed leaning to the door side. He looked at Zhang. Zhang was panting heavily, bending to the front placing hands on his knees. He looked up. He couldn't believe, wuxie had changed a lot. He was like a small bean then. But the man in front of him is almost his height and... HANDSOME.

His hair was darker than any of the black Zhang could capture

His hair was darker than any of the black Zhang could capture. It wasn't combed, more like frizzy and parted to the sides keeping some strands to cover his part of the wide forehead. He was wearing a glass but the eyes were clear. His hair, his outfits, his attitude everything changed. Zhang kept doubting if it's the real Wuxie. But the eyes, Zhang clearly remember those eyes, it was the same as the little wuxie. It was shining bright even in the daylight. Zhang didn't realize he was staring at him without a blink.

"Why didn't you say you went ahead of here. Did you run from the woods there?"

Wuxie asked pointing towards the direction of the woods. His mind was a mess with all kinds of unexplainable feelings seeing how tired Zhang was. Angry? Guilt? Worry?

"Let's go"

Wuxie grabbed zhang's wrist and pushed him to the front seat. Zhang was out of breath so all he did was just letting wuxie take him. Wuxie stood there without closing the door. Zhang's breath was still unsteady. His heart was racing as if he did a marathon in 45 minutes. Resting his head back in the car seat Zhang asked wuxie, "You are not getting in?"

Wuxie suddenly sighed. Leaning towards Zhang he said, "You are incredible. Running that distance and you still have the energy to talk. What a stamina."
