the loud pitter pattering of rain against the window and the occasional roaring of thunder could be heard. though she wasn't a morning person, she dragged her seemingly abnormally heavy body to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

maybe i'm just weak, she thought just as her stomach rumbled. nope, i guess I'm hungry.

she threw on a white hoodie, dragging her feet down the stairs for breakfast, one hand on her neck whilst rotating her head to relieve some soreness from her neck.

with a light push, and abit of encouragement, a pair of feet stumbling to the bottom of the stairs, a stressed sigh escaping his lips though he never knew why he was always stressed. he stuffed his hands into the depths of his pocket, his slightly long hair covering his eyes as usual, his unsociable side showing again.

why fake when you always go all soft for that her, na jaemin? a voice in his head spoke, you're gonna talk to her anyway aren't you.

y/n stifled a yawn behind her hand, shutting her eyes and allowing her legs to move by sensory.

" ow, " she mumbled, her head hitting another as she felt someone's hands sneaking around her waist.

her eyes meet those deep brown pair of eyes, the warmth in his gaze that allegedly seemed to spread to her. she immediately recognised that pair of eyes, a mixture if happiness and regret flowing though her all at once.

she plastered a smile on her face to mask any negative emotions, " hey, " she said not sure why she was getting nervous and scared all of the sudden.

" how have you been? " dino questioned her, his voice filled with tenderness as usual.

" urm, i'm... " y/n paused for a moment, watching as the currently black haired boy walk up the stars, the hood of his matching white hoodie over his head, his eyes that was devoid of emotions was staring straight ahead, " im ok i guess..." she mumbled, her eyes following jaemin up the stairs until he rounded the corner.

" hmm i guess you're lying again, " dino detected, his brows furrowing slightly, " you wanna talk about it? "

she shook her head, walking down the stairs and into the kitchen for breakfast with dino trailing behind her.

" am i stupid? " he breathed out, staying with his back to the wall of his bedroom.

" ugh, " his hand reaching to his roots again as the vision of him walking up the stairs replaying in his mind.

the way y/n's eyes seemed to follow him up the stairs and the way dino's concerned filled eyes watched y/n. he saw it all.

at that point of time, he seemed to be looking at the world through a tv screen, everything that was happening at that point of time seemed to be playing out as a movie.

it wasn't the first time it happened but it always left him confused and slightly worried for himself, he thought he had gone insane.

however, jeno had told him not to worry about anything. " maybe you're just stressed. " he recalled his best friend's exact words.

" could you.. not tell y/n about any of this?" he requested, " i don't need her to be more worried than she already is. "
