Chapter Five;  Sparring

I held the wooden knife tightly in my hand as I circled around Eren. It's been a few months since we first arrived here, it's been tough, with all the running and fighting we've been doing. But I've come to enjoy it, especially the beating people's asses parts. That's always fun. I smiled slightly as I charged at Eren. He quickly dodged me and threw a punch at me. I blocked his arm with my own before I kneed him in the stomach. He staggered back slightly, giving me the chance to end this. I swiftly tripped him before I pounced on him to keep him from getting up. I brought the fake knife down to his heart and laughed.

"I win again Yeager." I smiled devilishly at him as he scowled.

"Shut it!" He barked as he pushed me off of him.

"Someone's moody today." I smiled innocently up at him as he wiped the dirt off his uniform. He rolled his eyes and held out his hand to me. I graciously took it. He pulled me up from the ground and flicked my forehead. "Ow!" I growled.

"Hey guys!!" Reiner came up to us.

"Oh hey." We both said smiling at our friend. Ever since him and Bertolt helped out Eren they've been hanging around us a lot more, which was great! We met a bunch of other people too, a girl named Mina, and these guys named Marco and Thomas. They're all amazing people. Speaking of friends, Jean is slowly becoming a good friend of mine. He sometimes hangs out with our group, him and Eren still don't get along sadly, but maybe one day.

"You see that girl over there?" He pointed with his chin over to Annie.

"Oh Annie?" I said. He nodded. She was just walking aimlessly, ignoring everyone. "What about her?"

"She thinks she's all tough..." He said. "Heh, watch this." He smirked before he began walking up to her.

"What is he doing?" Eren gasped. Reiner started throwing insults at her.

"Oh shit. She looks pissed!!" I said as she glared at him and got in a fighting position.

"There you go, have at it." Reiner handed Eren the fake knife and smiled as he threw Eren over to her. His mouth dropped open, unsure of what to do. "Fight her!!" He rolled his eyes. Eren quickly got into a fighting stance.

"What was the point of that?" I looked up at Reiner who had a smug look on his face. He simply shrugged.

"I thought it'd be entertaining." I chuckled and hit his arm.

"You coward, didn't go up her yourself." I smiled as he glared down at me. Annie was talking to Eren about something, but I couldn't make out the words. I furrowed my brows and tilted my head as I watched them go at it. Annie kicked Eren square in the jaw, causing him to fly backwards down onto the ground.

"Are we done now?" She growled.

"Uh-not yet. You know what you have to do." Reiner said as she rolled her eyes and grabbed the knife from Eren and threw it to Reiner. Eren groaned as he pushed himself up from the ground.

"I'd like to see you take her on." He growled at Reiner.

"Oh no, I'm good."

"What? Are you scared of her or something?" Eren taunted. He sighed before walking up to Annie and getting in position. Me and Eren busted out laughing when Annie knocked Reiner down onto his ass.

"Serves you right!!" I yelled before laughing harder. He scowled at us before walking away.

The rest of training included more sparring and then some 3DMG training, it was really cool, we got to practice killing fake titans. Apparently that was something I was also really good at. My blades cut through the titans neck like butter. Every time was a clean cut. It was exhilarating!! I sighed happily as I laid my head on Mikasa's shoulder.

"Are you alright?" She asked. I nodded my head and yawned.

"Beating up Eren is tiresome." I stated. I could feel him burning a hole through the back of my head as everyone laughed.

"I just let you win." He growled. I lifted my head up and looked at Eren with a 'really?' look. I patted his back.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night Eren." I smiled innocently as his glare intensified.

Dinner was going smoothly until Eren and Jean were head to head again yelling at each other. My eyes widened as they both punched each other.

"Not again." Connie groaned.

"Hey!!" I yelled and quickly got up. Eren kicked Jean down to the ground, just like how Annie knocked him down earlier today.

"What the hell!! That hurt!! Wh-what was that??" He gasped at Eren.

"A little something I picked up today while you were too busy screwing around." He growled before coming back to his seat. I fell back into my seat as the door creaked open.

"What is going on in here?" The commander asked. He looked seriously creepy from here, only half of his face was visible. And holy crap that death glare he was giving off didn't help. Eren and Jean nervously sat back down in their seats, both were bleeding, making it evident that there was a fight.

"Sasha ripped a giant fart sir." Mikasa said quickly.

"WHAAAAHHH???" She screamed.

"You again? Get some control over yourself Braus." The commander said before leaving.

"WHUUUUUHHH. AHHHHH" she screamed again. I couldn't contain my laughter. I grabbed my sides as I laughed harder than I have in awhile. I accidentally snorted, which caused everyone to join in. "AAHHHHH STOOPPPPPP!!!" She whined.

"You just snorted." Eren smirked at me. My laughing became softer as I looked at him. I smacked his arm softly.

"Shut it Yeager." I said as I tried to control my laughter.

"It was cute." My eyes widened slightly as I looked into his emerald eyes. My laughing stopped, along with everyone else's in the room. Everyone went back to whatever it was they were doing before the fight with Eren and Jean happened. I cleared my throat awkwardly and sat up straight. "You've never laughed like that before either." He smiled.

"Yeah, I guess...I guess because for once, things are okay." I sighed as I looked down at my food. Things were finally okay..
