Chapter 6; Some Party

"These cadets are the top ranking cadets! Look at them, these cadets have shown their worth and worked hard to get here!" The commander said. I stood proud next to my friends. We did it, two years of hard work... And we're graduating at the top. Mikasa and I were both at the top, apparently we were both first place ranked students, I didn't mind at all honestly. Then Annie, Eren, Jean, Armin, Bertolt, Reiner, Sasha, Marco, and Connie. A small smile formed on my face as the Commander continued talking. "Now that you've completed your training, you have three choices. You can either join The Garrison,which reinforces the walls, thereby protecting all of the towns..." That's a big bowl of nope.  "The Survey Corps, prepared to sacrificed their lives outside the walls by defying the titans in their own domain.." Yes, I've waited five years for this..   "And The Military Police Brigade, which exercises control over the kings subjects and maintains order." Maintains order my ass.... "Of course." He started. "Out of you raw recruits, the only ones who can join the Military Police Brigade are the ten with the highest scores." I smiled proudly, knowing that I was one of them. "Soon, I'll be asking which branch you want to be assigned to, but as of right now the 104th Training Corps is officially disbanded! Dismissed!"

"YES SIR!" We all saluted before leaving.

I walked into the mess hall and sighed happily. Everyone were in their casual clothes, it felt good to wear something normal. Even though I missed the way my uniform clung to my body, it made me feel important. If that makes sense. Now I was just wearing a simple white dress and a black coat. I pushed my way past all the celebrating cadets.

"Congrats on making the top ten Scarlett!!" Someone said. I smiled and thanked them before I continued walking until I spotted my friends in the corner enjoying their meals.

"Hey!" I chirped happily as I sat down next to Mina.

"Scarlett!!! Hey!" She beamed happily.

"Congrats." Eren smiled at me.

"Congrats to you too." I smiled softly. Spending the last two years with him has actually brought us closer than I would have thought possible. I've started seeing him more and more like an older brother. Mikasa looked up at me and smiled too. She was also wearing a white dress, but with a light beige over coat along with her red scarf around her neck. She looked amazing as usual. I chuckled softly as I looked around us." We did it you guys." I smiled. I scanned the room for the rest of our friends,  I found Connie and Sasha over near all the food. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. I heard they were thinking about joining the MP's. Actually...almost everyone was. I continued looking around the room, Ymir and Krista were off in a corner flirting with each other. Ymir had Krista's cheek in her hand as she was saying something to her. I smiled at the two of them and continued to look around. Jean and Marco were sitting at a table drinking and talking loudly.

"Lucky bastards, making the top ten!" Some guy yelled at Jean. "I'm sure you're gonna join the Military Police Brigade right?"

"Huh?" Jean turned around slightly. "That goes without saying! Why the hell else would I have aimed to crack the top ten?!"

"I'm going with the MP's too!" Marco said happily as he went to take a sip out of his mug. Jean pushed his head into it, making it spill all over Marco.

"Are you still playing the goody-goody Marco?" Marco struggled to speak. "Tell me how you really feel. You can't wait to get into the interior right?" I tilted my head slightly at Jeans words, where in hell was he going with this?. "WE CAN FINALLY ESCAPE THIS SHITTY SUFFOCATING FRONT-LINE TOWN!!! A SAFE COMFORTABLE LIFE IS WAITING FOR US IN THE INTERIOR RIGHT?!"

"Wha...you.." Marco started. "Sh-shame on you! At least I'm not-"

"Oh sorry! My bad!" Jean yelled back. "I forgot you were a prize pupil!" He turned his attention away from the now gawking Marco. "But what would you guys do?" He asked everyone else. "I mean getting the chance to live in the interior is unheard of right?!" He stood up slightly with his mug in hand. "Or given the choice, would you rather stay here in this 'human stronghold' or whatever they like to call it?!" My mouth dropped open slightly. Everyone remained quiet until someone spoke up.
