Five Months Later.
“ONLY 8 HOURS ARE LEFT, COME ON.” Deb shouted on her phone, throwing it on the hotel’s extra comfortable bed.
“Deb, honey, calm down.” Liam said pulling her hand.
“DON’T YOU DARE!” Deb snapped back looking at him.
“Liam, shut up, okay. It’s her wedding day. It’s hers to own.” Tris said not looking up from her phone.
“Hey! It’s my wedding day too.” Liam answered, “and what are you looking at in your phone?”
“Nothing.” She said, her eyes still on phone.
“Maybe she is looking for me.” A voice said and TJ and Ben entered the small hotel room. And Tris got up to give him a hug.
“Why are we all hanging out in Tris’s room?” Ben asked dropping on the bed.
“I HATE MY LIFE. WHY CAN’T PEOPLE DO STUFF FASTER?” Deb screamed and looked at Liam accusingly.
“Okay, Deb listen to me.” Liam said, standing up.
“Everything is going to be fine, okay. The most important thing is that we are getting married tomorrow okay. We found each other and that is it, okay. Calm down.” He said and just then the landline phone on the room rang and Tris went to pick it up.
“Hello, ma’am, this is Stella speaking, from the reception. Am I speaking to Tris White?” a sweet voice filled the earpiece.
“This is she.” Tris answered
“Oh, good. I have been trying to contact you and your friends. There is someone here to meet you. And they have requested to meet you all together.” Stella answered
“Okay, we will be there in a sec.” Tris said and filled everyone about the call.
They all made their way towards the waiting couch, with Deb clearly irritated about the delay. They reached the couch and looked at the receptionist in confusion.
“Missed us?” A voice said behind them and they turned to look at Lillian and Owen standing there looking unscratched except Owen’s right hand, which had plaster on. Everyone was silent for a minute before TJ made his way towards Lillian, wrapping his arms around her.
“I knew you were alive.” TJ whispered and hugged her tighter and turned to give Owen a hug too and then Ben moved forward to give Owen a big hug, giving Lillian a sweet kiss on her cheeks. Liam too gave Lillian a hug and kiss on her other cheeks and gave Owen a weird bro hug.
Tris wrapped her hands around both of them and tears started spilling from her eyes.
“Are you guys okay. Lillian, never leave me like this ever, ever again, okay.” She said holding her hand.
“I love you so much. I missed you Tee-Tee.” Lillian said teasingly
“And I missed you too Owie!” Tris said sniffing.
Owen looked past her at Deb, who was sitting on the couch staring at the wall. “Deb, won’t you give me hug?” Owen asked moving in front of her.
“I am getting married tomorrow.” She answered not looking at him.
“I know and I am here to make sure you are well and not gone crazy.” Owen smiled but Deb still kept staring at the wall.
Owen knelt in front of her and turned her chin so that she would look at him. Tears started dwelling in her eyes. Owen gave her a small smile before wrapping his hand around her.
“I love you Deb, my princess.” Owen whispered and Deb sobbed before wrapping her hands around him and hugging him back.
“I hate you.” Deb said pushing him a little.
“Wow, I hate you too.” Owen answered giving her another hug. And then Deb stood up walking toeards Lillian and giving her a small smile before wrapping her hands around her.
“Be my maid of honor?” she said
“Me? Of…of course.” Lillian answered before giving her a small hug again.
“But first, give us the story.” Liam said sitting down and others too nodded before taking a seat.
“Okay, so when we were planning in the café, Lillian got a call from TJ and she came up with a plan B. The idea was to deceive the police. So we fixed a plan with him, according to which we had to move out of the dog’s house and meet TJ before 2100 but we got late and we had already had instructed TJ to burn the house at precise time no matter what. And so when we woke up we felt the fuel beneath our feet and ran towards the exit but it was too late. We saw the fire, so we ran to the opposite direction and where we saw the stairs to the garage and then out. We were badly hurt though, and so we spent five months in hospital and PTSD classes, just because doctor told us too though.” Owen said, sipping coffee which they had ordered.
“TJ, why did you not tell us….tell me?” Tris asked turning towards him.
“I am sorry but I did not know if they were alive or not. I thought I had screwed this up and when I saw you guys, I just did not have the nerve to tell you guys the truth.” TJ answered rubbing his neck.
“But no, what a minute, the reporter said there were 6 bodies and your ID cards.” Ben asked
“Miranda, Luke, Liam, Adam and two of Liam’s guard. We left our card there on purpose to shake off the police and the tag of villain on us.” Lillian answered
“Wow, is that how Owen broke his arm?” Deb asked and looked confusingly at them as Lillian and Owen exchanged mysterious smile.
“Lillian please don’t” Owen said looking at her pleadingly.
“So…. No, this did not happen in the accident. What happened was, I was standing in my hospital room’s balcony and Owen was walking in the garden with the nurse. He saw me in the balcony and kept staring hence not seeing the stone bench and hence falling and breaking his arm.” Lillian said as the others started laughing hysterically
“No, I thought I saw a butterfly okay.” Owen defended, red faced and the rest doubled over laughing.
“So you guys finally accepted each other I see.” Liam asked once they stopped laughing.
“Yes, I gave in.” Lillian answered reaching for Owen’s hand.
“So Deb, you agreed to marry him? Do you have any disease or something?” Owen asked
“Yes, Lillian, I love him and couldn’t say no. Did you know he did Science for kid experiments for me before asking me to marry him.” Deb said looking at Liam.
“Science for kid. Smooth.” Owen smirked.
“It worked nevertheless.” Liam shrugged taking Owen’s coffee from his hand.
“Hey! That’s mine. Why did you say yes again?” Owen asked folding his arms.
“What can I say? You find the right size ring, you wear it.” Deb shrugged
“Well, that’s that. Now Owen, you need a black suit to enter with Deb.” Liam said
“What?” Owen asked
“Gee, Owen you are giving me away tomorrow. It was Ben but now you are here and Ben and me, we both what you to do it.” Deb answered rolling his eyes.
“Also, Ben is now my best man.” Liam said giving Ben a high five.
“See you at the wedding then?” Deb asked and Owen nodded giving her a huge smile.
