“Hello, we need rooms for six people.” Lillian said to a bored looking woman sitting behind the desk.
“And I need money to go to Paris. Yet here we are.” She replied not looking up from her crossword puzzle.
“I am sorry mam, but we really do want to rent six rooms. See my friends here were thinking about calling it a night and staying in this hotel.” She said looking back where all her fellow mates where watching a riff off between Tris and Deb, clapping and howling with the computer.
“Ah, teenagers, going on some kind of trip, huh? Enjoy while you can is the only thing I can say” she replied still ignoring Lillian.
“OK, LOOK___” Lillian started storming towards the desk when someone held her hand, pulling her back and Owen came in front.
“Look at the fantabulous woman over her.” He said catching her attention, as the woman fixed her hair, hurriedly.
“Yes, how can I help you sir?” she said, smiling.
“Well I wish the woman could rent us six rooms in her awesome hotel?” Owen asked bowing a little, catching Lillian’s attention, who was glaring at him with deadly look.
“I am sorry sir but we only have two rooms empty, one is with three rooms within and other is a single one.” The woman said apologetically.
“Oh, that’s a problem now.” Owen replied looking back at his friends who were now playing cards at the table.
“We do have two single pull up couch in the big room too.” The woman said, giving Owen a wink.
“Thank you sweetheart we will take the room.” Owen said as Lillian pinched him on his hand and both of them headed back to the group, Owen trying hard to not laugh and Lillian walking angrily.
“What took so long? And why did Owen had to interfere?” Tris asked Lillian.
“Nothing. Owen was flirting with the woman, which got us late.” Lillian said snapping at Owen.
“What, I was just helping.” He replied defensively.
“Whatever, we got only one big room, with three separate rooms inside and two single pull up couches... Please there was no other room available.” Lillian added, as the group just as everyone groaned against the common rooms.
They all walked towards there room, 102, and entered a hallway leading to a big, sad hall. The walls were bare with only one photo of a bar, or a club. There were four couches facing each other in the hall, two of them, as promised, were Pull-up bed. Lillian kept her bag beside one of the sofa and looked around. There was a full wall sized window at the back and three doors on the adjacent side. One common washroom’s door was there near the window and three rooms had in built washrooms of their own.
Tris shouted dibs on a room with double bed and grudgingly agreed to share it with Deb. Ben and Liam too went in the other two room, leaving Lillian and Owen to sleep in the hall.“So, you guys want to order food?” Lillian called out as all the other four came out of their rooms after dumping their bags.
Lillian sat on the sofa facing the window and Owen sat in front of her. Ben and Tris sat on the three People couch and Deb sat opposite to them, all gathered around a small coffee table.
After long arguments they settled on Thai food with two vegetarian pizza for Tris and a King size burger for Liam. Liam started to get some money but was stopped by Lillian. “You all came to a trip with us, So I will be paying all the expenses including yours triplets.” She said and shot a deadly look as Liam and Owen began to argue.
Liam picked up his phone, texting and switched it off soon.
Thirty minutes later there was knock at the door as they six were watching movie and Lillian went to get it. The waiter smiled off the money she was holding and said, “This meal costs only $5, after a discount of 90%.”
“Discount?” She asked looking back at the group and Liam smiled at her whispering Travel agent perk.
“Thank you.” She said grinning at the waiter and taking the tray from him. “You too, thanks.” she added looking at Liam.
“Oh, it’s just the beginning.” He was grinning mischievously and Lillian gave him a questioning look, “Just eat less.” He said for an answer, hiding his big smile.
