(Last seat.)

“You guys in for some food?” Tris asked gesturing towards the bag of chips.

“No, but, help yourself.” Lillian replied handing her the packet.

She and Owen were playing Atlas and Owen was marking the highest possible milestone in atlas Losers, making Lillian double over with laughter.

“Ok” Tris smiled.

Tris opened the pack when a sharp break caused them all to fly and land on poor Ben and she rolled around the seat laughing when she heard a sorry from the front.

(Front seat.)

“Will you stop staring?” Deb said laughing at Liam.

Liam was sitting with his hands on chin and staring shamelessly at Deb who was busy driving the car. He took a deep breath and replied, “I wish I could, but you are too beautiful to take eyes off from.”

“You are weird or acting like one?” she asked sparing him a glance.

“It’s not me, it’s you.” He said not taking his eyes off her.

“Ok, stop acting like a creep or we are not talking.” She snapped moving her hand over the gear.

“Fine. So tell me about… your hobbies?” he asked sitting up straight and looking at the road ahead.

“I like singing, I can’t, but I just like the idea of it and science” she said without giving it a thought.

This snapped back Liam’s attention. “You like science? as in physics and chemistry?”

“Yes I do, I have read many papers about it.”

“Well, my mom would love you.” He replied turning back to road.

“Why?” She asked narrowing her brow.

“She is a scientist and has published many papers.” He said, hand quoting the last word.

“What’s her name?” Deb asked looking at him for a split second.

“Laura William” Liam said indifferently.

Deb pushed the break hard, halting the car at once and sending everyone forward with a jerk.

“Sorry.” She shouted a minute later.

(Middle seat.)

“So, what do you think, how long till we reach New York?” Lillian asked.

“Indiana and I think pretty soon. Deb is the fattest driver I know and it’s like only a thousand or so miles.” Owen said grinning wildly.

“Amsterdam. You really believe that Liam will be there?” Lillian asked.

“In some searches, all that really matter is the hope for finding what we are looking for. Even if we do not find the treasure, this hope for it and this path towards it will be worth it.” Owen said leaning towards the closed windows.

“Wow, Mr. Philosophical.”

“Like I said friend like me is hard to find, Right?”

“Wrong, Best friend not just friend.” Lillian said smiling warmly.

“Okay bestie, Moana, Your turn.” Owen replied.

“It’s not Moana silly, its Montana.” Lillian said laughing loudly.

“Whatever. It’s still your__” Just then both of them where thrown forward and the car came to a halt. Sorry, a voice came from the front seat.
