CHAPTER 17:
No more hurt.
Sakura
"You're going to do great, my sweetheart! Mommy loves you!"
"Oi! Who gave her the microphone?!"
Everyone cringed over the argument insuing over my mother trying to give me words of encouragement before this event officially started.
"Mommy?" Panda-senpai muttered.
"Sorry about that," I apologized.
"AND WHO LET HER OUT OF HER CONTAINMENT ROOM?!"
"We're starting in one minute," Gojo-sensei took the microphone.
"Now, let's hear a few words of well appreciated encouragement from Iori Utahime-sensei."
"Uhm, some degree of injury will be unavoidable, but uhm. . .now and then, help eachother out. . .or something. . ."
"Times up."
"Hey! Gojo, you little-!"
That was supposed to be encouraging?
They must never have fun in Kyoto.
"Now, let the sister exchange event. . .begin."
Our plan was simple but effective. I was grouped with Megumi and Maki-senpai, as we would need another "powerhouse" such as myself if Toge-senpai or even Yuuji were to be taken down.
Maki-senpais words, not mine.
"Where do you think the cursed spirit boss is?" Yuuji asked.
"It was probably unleashed halfway between both schools, but it's not just going to sit still," Panda-senpai explained.
"At the time we agreed upon, we'll split up into the Megumi squad and the Panda squad for scouting. We'll be counting on you after that, Yuuji."
I'm so nervous.
How far are they willing to go?
"Do you think you can center your anger into singular attacks?" Megumi suddenly asked.
"Huh?"
"Instead of being dispersed, do you think you could force your anger into smaller attacks to make them more effective?" Megumi explained.
Better than blacking out.
"I'll try my best."
Just then, Megumis' demon dog started barking and it signaled us to a Low Level Curse infront of us.
"That's a small fry," Panda-senpai commented.
Meaning not for me.
But just as Maki-senpai went in to finish it off so we could move on, the demon dog growled towards a different kind of energy.
"Senpai, stop!" Megumi warned.
It's him!
How is he already so far out?!
Toudou burst out from the woods, completely shoving the curse to the side as he faced us with a wide gain.
"Great! You're all here! Come at me all together!" And just like we rehearsed, Yuuji went in for the attack and Megumi grabbed my hand as we took off into our groups.
"Toudou was alone," Megumi pointed out.
"We were right to swap Yuuji into that role. And will you let go of her hand?! You can't be all lovey dovey during this!" Maki-senpai snapped and I slipped my hand from his, making him look back at me.
"I'm going to be fine. Besides, we can't fight eachothers battles. What are you going to do if Mai or Toudou attacks me?"
"Kick their ass," Megumi replied bluntly and I giggled.
So cute.
"Remember, they don't know you guys are together. So for now let's not make it obvious," I nodded, knowing that their punishments towards us would be severe if they found out mid-battle.

"So, not only are they targeting Yuuji, but Sakura-chan as well," Kamo-san didn't hesitate to reveal how he really felt about the two of us and how neither of us deserved to even live.
"I can handle myself, it's Yuuji I'm worried about," I admitted.
"How come? Toudou can't do-"
"Not Toudou-kun," I cut her off.
"If he gets desperate or angry, there's a chance he might slip up again and Sukuna takes over. Sukuna won't hesitate to kill all of you, and I'm not sure if he'll even want me alive either."
