CHAPTER 11:
She's clueless.
Sukuna

When I had my little petal, I was overjoyed. But first came the tears when I saw that she was crying loudly, gasping for air as a newborn, and yet my beloved had just lost her own breath.

Kikuko was a well built woman, yes, but her body was just not built to carry a child. And she knew this, but once she knew she was impregnated with my child, she told me she was ready to risk it all.

Unfortunately, much like my beloved, Sakura was born in poor health. I knew this the mere second I took her to my realm, her halfling body not being able to handle the Cursed world.

I hated it.

Every second of it.

I had just lost the love of my life, and now my own flesh and blood can't even be in the same world as me? It tore me apart.

But, I wanted her to be in the world of Jujutsu. Growing up ignorant of the threats around her would only endanger her more.

Against my better judgement, I left her at the home of a strong Jujutsu Sorcerer and left a note.

"Name her after the cherry blossoms. They were her mothers favorite."

I hoped she would be able to be raised by a loving family, and that she wouldn't gain any powers from me, but alas. . .they turned their backs on her.

When I saw the fear in her eyes when I found out, I knew it was not because of me. It was because of what I might do to them.

It's a true shame, really. She grew up without a chance to find out how to use her powers, and so I try and build a connection with her, but that damned shaman and the others have corrupted her.

Unless. . .that one in particular really meant it when he said she wouldn't turn out like me.

That he wouldn't allow it.

I can see her falling in love with a shaman such as Fushiguro Megumi, truly being like me in the aspect of risking everything to be with the one whom you most adore, but his loyalty to the Elders and to Jujutsu Sorcerers will prevent him from fully loving my daughter.

So annihilating him is the best course of action.

She can find someone later, or I can pick out some play things for her.

I won't judge.

But Kikuko will not allow me to hurt him, so I will have to make it look like an accident.

Ugh, what a bore.

Wait. . .Kikuko.

I felt her presence and looked back onto my throne, but she wasn't there. By now, she's already supposed to be awakened.

Where could she be?!

Did I not notice her?!

No, my Kikuko would have run to me. Something had to go wrong. . .

If I was my beloved, and newly awakened, where would I go?

.

.

.

"Sakura. . ."
