CHAPTER 19:
Cursed.
Sakura

"Burn!"

I was so panicked, so worried about protecting Megumi, that I set fire to not only the Unregistered Curse, but also the wooden building that surrounded us.

"I-I'm sorry-!"

"Don't be! They'll just think it was the Curse!" Megumi reassured me as we rushed outside, my heart racing as a million thoughts ran through my head.

Will I be able to protect him?

Will I black out again?

Will my mom be okay?!

"Inumaki-senpai will stop it! Don't worry, just go!" Megumi sent ahead his Shikigami, Nue, towards the Curse, and Inumaki-senpai prepared himself to stop him again.

But, it didn't work.

As soon as Nue got too close, it's hand shot straight through him.

"Inumaki-senpai!" I shouted in worry as blood rushed up his throat, and he coughed it up.

He's already weakening.

How can we win if he's already losing?

But even then, I had only used a few cursed energy waves to stop him. I still had my strength, and my pure Cursed Energy alone would be able to help us immensely.

But. . .the thought of blacking out to use my full potential wasn't something I wanted to do again.

"Are you alive, Kamo-san?" Megumi asked Kamo-san, who was shot back by the Curse and Megumi managed to save him before he was pushed off the rooftop, and his fate would have been much more cruel on the ground.

Megumi glared at the Curse, hatred heavy in his eyes as he started to lift his hands to summon another Shikigami.

"Megumi, don't-" But as I reached out for him, Inumaki-senpai had beat me to it.

"Mustard leaf."

"Inumaki-senpai?" I muttered as he limped forward.

If I send another Cursed Wave, it won't-

"Don't, Sakura," Megumi warned.

"How did you-?"

"It's in your eyes," He glanced towards me, "we need your strength. Save it."

As if I couldn't be even more impressed by Inumaki-senpai, he continued to prove why he's a Second Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer.

"BLAST AWAY!"

Using the last of his sore voice, only more blood came up and he struggled to keep himself up as the Curse was shot into the building straight ahead, and all I could hear was my heartbeat in my ears as Megumi kept his hand around my wrist.

"You can't cut me with that dull blade."

It speaks?!

Maki-senpai rushed up behind it with her Cursed Energy Spear, but it only broke.

I need to turn.

It's the only way we'll get out alive.

As I looked across the rooftop, watching as Maki-senpai and Megumi stood alongside eachother with fierce determination to kill this Curse, despite knowing they stood no chance, it encouraged me to change.

To lose myself.

I better not do anything stupid this time.

"Sakura!"

"You go ahead! I need to do something first!" I shouted back to Megumi, who only gave me a worried gaze.

Because he knew what I was going to do.

"Don't go kissing anyone else, you got it?!"

I chuckled, "I'd never dream of it!"

I remembered bits and pieces from my last state, completely combining my Cursed Energy within my being and within my soul. I still didn't even know if I had inherited my mothers gift, or if anything else of Sukuna was within me, but having those two as my parents gave my Cursed Energy the strongest boost. Even as a baby.

I winced as I felt the letters start to imprint themselves onto my skin, ancient Japanese Death Curses. Each one was more painful than the last, and making sure that whoever read them would experience actual Hell on Earth for even daring to look at Ryōmen Sukuna's daughter.

Guess I got that from you. . .dad.

Most importantly, it changed my pride. As the daughter of Ryōmen Sukuna, King of Curses, I should expect the best treatment and should trample anyone who looks at me in a way that bothers me. It first started with Mai, and her fake confidence. She's so pitiful and she expects no punishment for being a bitch. Just because you were raised a certain way or you had a rough childhood, it doesn't give you the right to be harmful towards your own blood. Then it led to Toudo, and how he treated Megumi. My feelings for Megumi at that time were still brewing, and seeing him hurt by a cocky schoolboy only fueled the fire even more.

"A-agh!" I fell to my knees, feeling the horns piercing through my skull and clutching my head as tears rolled down my face.

Just take it, Sakura.

You can handle the pain.

You're Naya Sakura.

But. . .you're also Ryōmen Sakura.

I immediately sensed my father within Itadori, and my blood wanted me to be near him as he would battle this Curse who dared to not only lay a filthy hand on my friends, but also my prince.

My Megumi.

Within seconds, I was beside Itadori-kun, who jumped in surprise at my new appearance.

"S-Sakura-chan?!"

"Let's make this nice and slow. I want to make it clear that no one touches the future husband of Princess Sakura."
