CHAPTER 8:
Try me.
Sakura

They weren't even supposed to be here. Only the headmaster was supposed to come, but those two snakes managed to slither their way in and it absolutely infuriated me.

I was just on my way to get some food.

How could this have happened so quickly?

"Sakura-chan, how cute. They still let you go here?" Mai giggled, but my gaze was hyperfocused on Kugisakis' unconscious form on the floor.

I may hate Sukuna, but you might rival that feeling, Mai.

"Aw, can't talk?" She giggled.

"Why are you here?" I glared at her, and I could feel her become slightly more unsettled looking at me but quickly regained her composure.

"Just teaching a first year how to talk to her elders-" I rolled my eyes.

Shit.

"What?! You think you're cool now just because they're haven't locked you up?!" I flinched at her harsh voice, and she chuckled.

Stop it.

Stop acting so weak.

"Exactly, so walk away, or do you want to end up like this bitch?" I noticed the sun shine off something in her hand.

A gun.

"Wow, a gun, huh? How unfitting for a Sorcerer. Did you become just as weak as humans?" I taunted, and it felt fucking great because I could see that it messed with her pride.

Holy-where did this come from?

"Watch your tongue-"

"Or what?" I dared and she flinched.

"You'll report me? Gojo-sensei, Kugisaki, Megumi, Maki-senpai, Panda-senpai, and Toge-senpai would all advocate for me. You barely have any friends because you're such a prideful bitch who's too insecure to even recognize her own faults," I spat out.

Is this confidence. . .

This confidence, I always kept it under because I was always scared to be put to sleep again. But I have a family who would do whatever it took to protect me, so I didn't have to be afraid of them anymore.

. . .from Sukuna?

"I'll put you six feet under-!" As she brought her gun up, I simply knocked it out of her hand with a cursed wave and it landed out of range.

"You could've cut my hand off!"

"I'm so tired of your shit, Mai. You and your family are going straight to Hell for what you've done to Maki-senpai, and I'll make sure of it as I drag you down myself," Her pride was too great to take this, so she decided to run at me.

Idiot.

And a scream rang through the air.

___________

Stupid.

I landed hard on the unfinished building below me, denting the steel I stood on and immediately caught the attention of my classmates.

"Sakura! Go!" The scent of blood was in the air and my eyes landed on the horror that was currently Megumi, bleeding badly from his head and possibly his ears.

Only fueling the fire even more.

"S-Sakura! He's too strong!"

Don't worry, Megumi.

I got this.

"Who the fuck decided it was okay to touch him?" My voice came out dark and void of nothing but a sadistic and angered tone.

"Don't worry, I got my fair fight in with your little girlfriend," I licked my fingers, which looked like I just dug into an animals innards.

"She already learned her lesson. I mean, who needs to be so conceited? Who's going to like her now with that ugly scar on her neck?" I questioned.

He's angry.

That's good.

"You're-" My hand latched onto his face and I slammed his body into the steel, applying so much pressure to one hand that if I put on anymore his face was break like a pumpkin.

And my other hand was aimed at his heart.

"Let's start with an introduction. I'm Sukunas' daughter, so who the fuck are you?"

"Sakura!" Megumi forced himself up, "what did you do to Zenin-senpai?"

Is he. . .angry at me?

But, why?

"They've always told me that I was a lost cause. That I was just going to end up like Sukuna anyways, so why not just end my life while they still had the chance. So, I showed them what they were egging on."

"Sakura-chan, please," Panda-senpai pleaded, "you're only proving their point."

What?

"No, you don't get to turn this on me," I growled.

"They've done this for years! I'm just so fucking sick of it! If this were Megumi, would you be getting angry with me?!" I demanded, but all I got was silence.

N-no. . .

Don't do this.

"Wait. . .you really. . .oh, okay," I let him go, backing away from everybody.

"So if I were a regular Sorcerer, then this would be fine. It would just be me showing off that I'm stronger, but because of my blood. . .you're scared of me, aren't you?" My voice trembled because I really thought they would hold me to the same standards as any other Sorcerer. But no, they don't want me strong.

Because all I would do is cause trouble and kill someone.

"Sakura, please, you have-"

"I don't have to understand anything, Megumi! You taught me that I should be held to the same standard as everybody else, that I shouldn't hold back, that I shouldn't be ashamed for being stronger. . .I thought we really connected the other night, but maybe he was right," I admitted, the truth being a hidden lie in that moment, but the thought of sleeping again and my friends hating me overwhelmed me.

"You would kill me if they asked."

Oof! Obviously, both parties are at fault here, but do you think Sakura should use her father's name to her advantage in certain situations? Like to scare her bullies?
Let me know.
