CHAPTER 12:
Mom. . .?
Sakura

I didn't know what to say.

Only a few hours ago, I almost had my first kiss with the guy I've been crushing on since I've joined this academy, and now I'm meeting my mom? It didn't seem real, even as she sat infront of me.

We were both silent, just looking at eachother, and the rumors were true: she is beautiful. Her head dawned midnight black hair, the same as mine, and her eye shape was the same as mine as well. Her eyes are brown and her skin looked soft and gentle.

"So, you're really Naya Kikuko. . .?"

.

.

.

"You're my mom?" I finally asked, my hands gripping my skirt and I'm positive my nails pierced the fabric.

But she just continued to stare at me. Then again, if I'm seeing my daughter for the first time in a thousand years, I'd be in shock too.

My gaze flickered back to her when she started to move and her cold hands cradled my face, observing each part of it and I gasped when a tear fell down her cheek and landed on mine.

"He really did name you after the flowers. . ."

She then hugged me, her arms so tight around my frame that I thought I would suffocate, but her sobbing into my shoulder brought out emotions. This is my mother, the woman who knew she was going to die but risked it all anyway just so I could have a life. And she's waited a thousand years just to see me again.

And I've waited a thousand years to feel a mothers touch.

"You're so beautiful, my little petal. Oh, you have his eyes," She sniffled, gazing at me.

"I bet you already have a line of men wishing to court you."

That sounds like a hassle.

Besides. . .

All I really want is one.

"Why did you come back now? How are you back?" I asked. They burned her body at the stake, from what I remember.

"Your father told me he would bring me back at the right time, but I did not think it would be so long. I'll have to have a chat with him when I see him again."

Bring her back?

No, Itadori died.

How is that possible. . .?

"Where is your fathe-?"

"Sakura, we need to. . .talk. . ."

Megumi came in and interrupted my mom and I, clearly unknown to the situation at hand and completely froze.

"Megumi, this is my mom. Mom, this is my-"

"Husband?!" She ran to him, "Oh, I'll need to talk and get to know you, but you already seem like such a fine boy! Gorgeous eyes, eyelashes, and beautiful skin. You two will make wonderful babies for sure!"

EH?!

"N-no! Mom! Megumi isn't my husband, we-we aren't together like that," I stuttered out, pulling her hands away from his face.

She really likes to jump to conclusions, doesn't she?

"M-mom? So you are Naya Kikuko. It's an honor to meet the woman who created my favorite person," He bowed, and it took me a second for that to register.

Favorite person?

"I'm y-your favorite person?" I stuttered out, the scene from earlier replaying in my mind and my cheeks turned pink.

"Are you sure you're not married?" Mom pouted.

"No, Naya-san. Although with her skill and her grace, I wouldn't mind it," He smiled.

How is he saying this so nonchalantly?!

Is he trying to give me a heart attack?!

"Sakura, Yaga-sensei wanted to talk to you about the games, so you should go. Naya-san, our principal has assigned Gojo Satoru as your guard and protector for the time being."

"That won't be necessary. I do have the power of the stars after all!"

The. . .power of the stars. . .?

"Eh?"

"Come again?"

Naya Kikuko wasn't just another Sorcerer or human. She was also known as a vicious witch back in her day, which is how she escaped and returned herself back to Sukuna before Sakura was born.
