the day my future husband broke my leg -Nishinoya Yuu x Reader-

You were walking on the gym balcony during lunch, not expecting a certain boy to jump at you from the side, that is how you ended up in this situation. In the hospital. Because of Nishinoya Yuu, the boy that later stole your heart and earlier broke your leg. He was trying to surprise you with a hug, but you freaked and landed funny because of the balcony railing, which caused your leg to get caught in the rail, ending up with Noya falling on top of you which was the final nail in the coffin. You sat in the doctor's room with Nishinoya, he was deeply bowing and apologizing for breaking your leg while the vice principal shook his head in bewilderment.

"N/N, I am so so so so so so sorry for breaking your leg, I didn't mean to and I feel really bad for it!" he apologized, bowing non-stop, it kind of made you uncomfortable so you shifted and you glanced over at the principal, who was about to say something.

"Nishinoya, you're very lucky L/N-San doesn't blame you for this, though you are going to get susp-"

"Please, it was a complete accident, it wasn't his fault, just let him help me with my books and things at school, please let that be his only punishment, and Nishinoya, please sit down, it's embarrassing," you pleaded, knowing no matter how bad your leg hurt you knew it wasn't his fault. Nishinoya sat down and the principal sighed in annoyance, pinching the bridge of his nose before giving in.

"If you're really that insistent, then Nishinoya's consequences will be helping you with your things during your classes," the vice principal gave in, sitting in silence as Nishinoya thanked him. The cast on your leg was annoying and you were waiting for a release from the doctor.

"Thank you L/N, thank you sir," Nishinoya thanked, eyes avoiding contact with everyone in the room. He twiddled with his fingers, eyes glancing up to meet your own every so often. He looked away with embarrassment. Nishinoya never meant to do this to his crush, you were so lovely and forgiving, he felt so guilty. You heard footsteps from the hallway, the door opened with the doctor and a nurse. They had a wheelchair and a pair of crutches for you, you sighed. This was going to give a lot of attention to you, not that people hadn't already known when you were rushed off to the hospital all of the sudden with your things, but still.

"Here, you are free to go, you have 8 appointments over the next couple of weeks and until you heal fully, please be careful," the doctor said, making you turn away and nod. He left the room and the nurse came over to you, moving you into the wheelchair. She tried to start pushing you but you stopped her.

"Thank you, but I think I'd rather have Noya push me out," you politely declined, making Nishinoya perk up. He nodded furiously and the nurse gave him a smile.

"It's not a problem, I'll take my leave now, have a good day!" the nurse took a bow and left the room, leaving you to be rolled out of the hospital in your new cast. Woohoo. This day would be so fun.

As soon as you were in the car, the principal asked a question to you that made you realize how bad this situation was.

"L/N-San, do you have a guardian or sibling at home to help you with your leg?" he asked while driving. Your face went pale and you groaned out in annoyance.

"No, I unfortunately do not, so I'll manage it on my ow-"

"I can help! I live near them!" Nishinoya immediately volunteered, man, he must've been really guilty about breaking your leg.

"Are you okay with that L/N-San? I'm not sure it's entirely appropriate," the principal asked, turning his head to glance at you briefly. You nodded before picking up your bag from the floor of the seat you were in. You recognized the road and knew you were almost home. The principal stopped in your driveway, getting out and bringing the wheelchair to you, Nishinoya transferred you over into it, rolling you into your house. Luckily, the door was the same level as the concrete, what wasn't lucky was the fact that you lived in the bedroom on the second floor. Nishinoya set down your crutches by the doorway, taking off his shoes at the door.
