insecurities - Tadashi Yamaguchi x Reader -

This is the first Yamaguchi oneshot I've made even tho the cover is a cursed Yams lol

Elementary school - Spring

You ran through the park, away from all of your friends, well, not anymore. They had kicked you from the group because of a recent fight you had about a boy. You didn't even like the boy, the group just hated the boy and you'd talked to him, and now you lost your entire friend group, it was petty. Tears threatened to spill from your eyes, that was until you'd realized you accidentally ran in a circle, seeing your friends bullying a different boy for his freckles, which made your blood boil.

"Twig boy! You're too thin! It's gross! Those dots are weird! They look like moles!"

"HEY! TSUKASA! GET OUT OF HERE YOU JERK! DON'T BE MEAN TO PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE YOU NEED TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF! YOU BULLY!" you shouted, running in front of the boy, blocking the crying boy on the ground, protecting him from any further harassment.

"What are you going to do about it weirdo?" the boy taunted, making you stomp towards him, which intimidated the group, who tried to brush you off, "You think that scares me? Pathetic."

"I won't hesitate to tell your Mom Tsukasa!" you threatened, the boy backing off immediately.

"Whatever, let's go guys."

As soon as they left, you let out a sigh of relief, putting your head in your hands, the tears finally flowing down as you laughed out, rubbing the tears out of your eyes, "Ahhh! That was so scary! Remind me to get more confident, jeesh!"

Turning back around, you saw a blonde standing there watching the two of you, slightly surprised. Tsukishima. That was his name, he was in your class, maybe...? You at least recognized the blonde, but your sights were on the green-haired boy in front of you, offering your hand out to the boy.

"T-Thank you... what's your name?" the boy asked, tears drying up off of his face, grabbing your hand, letting you pull him up.

"O-Oh, my name is-"

"My name is Tsukishima Kei," Tsukishima interrupted, a small smile covering his lips. An irritated expression flashed across your face, but you shrugged it off.

"My name is L/N F/N, and yours is?"

"Y-Yamaguchi T-Tadashi...:"

"It's nice to meet you Tadashi-Kun, wanna be my friend? High five if you wanna be my friend," you asked, a huge smile on your face, tears drying up on your face. He shyly met his hand with yours, stars filled your eyes. You squealed and hugged the boy, blush appearing on the cheeks of the freckled boy, "Kei-Kun! Do you want to be friends with us?"

Tsukishima stood there, a little surprised, but nevertheless, he nodded, making you grin at the blonde, Yamaguchi hesitantly opened his mouth before speaking, "W-We can go eat cookies at my house if you want to..."

"Really? Come on then, let's go!" you giggled, jumping up and down, clapping your hands.

"O-Okay!"

And that's how you became friends with Tsukishima and Yamaguchi, the start of a great friendship was only small buds, not yet blooming, just like the cherry blossom buds on the trees, they aren't open, but soon you'll see them turn into beautiful pink flowers.
